I googled the game, and unfortunately all the characters had butts. Although one chick with a blindfold had the most pics, so I'm guessing it's her people have a problem with.
The new Morrigan, people love her design and draws her, no one buys the game

The director, Yoko Taro, is asking people to collect pictures of 2B's butt.

I was annoyed about that since my issue wasn't the sexualization it was more so the ridiculous looking armor that literally was clipping with itself on the model. And they made him less sexy instead. Square pls. Ծ_Ծ

Probably, but the production values have gone up at least a bit from the shoestring budget of Nier. Sales have to be better! Most importantly let us just hope the game is good. Platinum will bring about better gameplay, Taro just has to try and top Nier. Which will be hard.
I don't doubt though GAF will have the best and busiest OT on the whole internet for this game lol. I'm sure the devs will be reading.
I'd assume the sales will be better if only between Platinum and Nier actually getting somewhat of a reputation in the years since it's been released compared to where it seemed completely unknown at release.
I really don't think this is about the photoshopped butthole image, considering that whole controversy came and went two weeks ago, and that the original tweet talks about "many... drawings being uploaded," which has nothing to do with the photoshop job.
It's much more likely to be about the explosion of fanart of the character online, much of it sexually charged. There's probably an interesting conversation to have about the relationship between character designers/game creators and sexy fanart, but it's not going to be in this thread.

Gaming side can be pretty terrible with diversity issues sometimes. Something something artistic integrity is the most important aspect of any game especially involving sexualized character design, but suspiciously not things like gameplay, other characters, or any other sort of criticism that doesn't involve sexualization whatsoever.
The last time I brought that up someone attributed Overwatch's success to the excess amount of pornography that it spawned. So yea, definitely not a discussion people are willing to have unless creators are a-ok with sexy fanart as you can see with this thread.

If it can manage to knock up some better reviews, then that always helps.
2017 has some good Japanese releases due, and 2016 finished with FF15, so in general there should be cravings for Japanese content lingering throughout the year as well. With Ni No Kuni 2 and Persona 5 inbound, this could be the year of Japan. Not to mention FF15 will probably actually be finished this year ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) So really it is a 2017 game.
Thats why the silhouette works so well.

As I said Kratos is an asshole he did similar things in games before 3. The only thing truly wrong with it all was the trophy as far as things go.
No trophy = yeah kratos did shit like this in other games to dudes just happens to be a woman this time.
Trophy title is like a dev note saying " it was a waste to kill her right away and I would have rather fucked her first. "

We are in 2017, not in the middleage. Your head won't explode and you won't go to hell if you see this. If you don't like this, just ignore it and don't buy the game. Avoid wasting efforts creating hate campaigns and let the artists do whatever they want.

Kratos does horrible shit but that was the time where it felt like the horrible shit was happening because of the gender of the character. And yes the trophy absolutely did not help in that regard. So it's less that I take issue with Krato's brutality in using her as a holdup for a device, because he's the type to do that to a male as well, it's the dragging and screaming of a woman with exposed breasts that I take issue with. It's really offputting.
It's a shitpost taking note at the fact that I took issue with one of Alloy's armor choices in Horizon have a completely exposed midriff despite having more armor pretty much everywhere than her default. The midriff itself contradicts that idea of wearing more armor than the default outfit.
