Because virtual fighter characters aren't interesting to a lot of people.

They complain about shit they actually like and are interested in.

Had amazing abusable buttons in VF2.

I haven't watched too many VF5FS tourneys but in the ones I've watched, I've not seen Lion.

VF5FS also has the coolest character in all of fightan games in Goh. Let's face it: in a cage death match Goh would fuck up every other character. Sorry Vergil, you too.

He's relatively popular, Chibita (the Daigo of VF maybe?) has used him since VF3

Don't think SNK owned them, at least not at the time. A few were in Neo Geo Battle Colosseum though, not sure if they owned the company that made them at that point or if they were just licensed.

EVO tutorial will teach you how to play VF correctly, give you max damage combos, has a godlike training mode and tourney replays on disc.

5FS you can play against humans which is why I recommend it over EVO.
