A lot of people were dissapointed when R.Mikas costume was shown for SxT......so plenty of people wanted her since before SF5. <_<

Tangentially related, but I'm kinda curious what they're going to do for Mika's theme in SFV. Her theme in Alpha 3 was okay, but it wasn't spectacular and if SFIV is anything to go by they weren't huge fans of the music in that game. Maybe she'll get an original song. Something with a bit more flair to match the wrestling motif.

Same game series that has E Honda buttsmash, Poison groin kick & dominatrix whipping, Hakan doing all kinds of lubed up foolishness, but we have a problem with a thick girl who is a pro wrestler doing what a thick girl would do in pro wrestling?
It's kind of funny to be that a small but vocal contingent are upset at her reveal. It's like the fact that she's well built throws them into a loop. You can't say she's cliche or typical, because SF has no characters that look like her. She's listed at like 155lb or something. At her height, that is a thick girl (apologies to the Snoop haters). They could have made her another slim chick, but they decided to let her be, and that's wonderful. There are women built like her, out there in the real world. And since she looks like she's fun to play as and potentially a legitimately good character, why can't it be empowering? It's not like she's in that outfit for no reason; she's a pro wrestler!
I say this as someone who didn't think she'd translate to V. Now I want to main her and troll people with random Nadeshiko kicks all day.

I hate her in SFA3 (move set, voice samples), but she looks fun to play in V.

I've gone full circle with my views on SF's titillation and sexualization. SFIV was fine, but by the time of Ultra, Poison and Elana were all about tits and crotch shots. I just shook my head when I saw the Gifs of Chun Li's wobbling tits on SFV's character select screen (bug, I know), and similar feeling when I watched R Mika's reveal trailer. But the more I see of her, the more I've come around to her character. Sure, she's all tits and ass, but that's OK.

One of the complaints that people have had about SFV is that there are way too many familiar faces, particularly from SF1/2. So Mika's not only a breath of fresh air from that perspective, she's turned out to have one of the most unique movesets of any character in the history of SF. There's no doubt that her appearance has caused a lot of hype (and also negativity), but don't be so quick to dismiss the character and why people are hyped about her because of that.

As a bisexual male, I don't get why that isn't considered sexy, it's hot as hell.

all I know about R. Mika is that she's a lady wrestler who looks up to Zangief and that all sounds pretty good to me

That's not true at all. I'm 26 myself and I'm pretty damn close to that. I got 4 months more of strength training while cutting to the right BF% (which is the most important part for the look) and I'm there. Incredibly jealous of that beard though...mine grows in patches
Also it's annoying to hear people complain about R. Mika's body when I see it so much in my circles. The girl friends I know even dress sexy (wear gym clothes that hug their assets Nicely) because they know they are. "Bros" go up to them all the time and they shoot them down bad. That's what mika reminds me of and that's why I like her.
I'll repeat why I wanted her included in V: comedic, female grappler. On top of that, she's been retooled from Alpha and looks amazingly fun to play.
I don't care how much skin she's showing. If there's a less revealing alternate costume that still brings the funny, then I'll be all about it.

Eh, we're thrown a lot less and a whilst a bare chest might not turn a straight on, it likewise doesn't necessarily bother him/her. The equivalent in this situation, costume wise, would likely be ryu in a fundoshi.
Her design is absolutely awful and just seems like it's from another time, which it kind of is. Nothing that an alt costume can't fix though. Kind of like Ivy in SC2 – her main costume is pandering garbage, but there are other alts to choose from.

Yeah, no, I highly doubt that. The human body cannot maintain that high amount of lean mass at that low bodyfat without anabolics.

R. Mika is great in the same way that Bayonetta is great; Confident about both her sexiness and strength, like most of the female street fighter cast are to some degree (like someone mentioned earlier, you'd have a better case with Cammy). With that said, I never really get people who are quick to claim that the males in Street Fighter are "equally as sexualized". "HURR ZANGIEF" Oh please, he has the same appeal as a shirtless Bluto. Aside from Gill, and mayybee the earlier incarnations of Vega, the males of street fighter lean towards the cartoonishly Brutish and gruff side (especially post SF4) . If you want a better comparison for male characters that do display their sexuality as much as the female cast, look at Guilty Gear's cast.
Also boobs are only imitations of asses, so R. Mika is best design
