I think that even with today's point update, Valmaster now makes it in because Nemo qualifies with the premiere slot

Did this motherfucker just say he doesn't like Goku, Vegeta and Gohan but likes Yamcha? I cannot sanction this buffoonery.

[edit]

There's no way Bonchan's Redbull has anything left in it. Dude has been sipping air for the last 3 hours.

Can never get mad at gatekeeping when there's lots of money on the line.

Oh never angry. Winner gets $8k so there is no gatekeeping at these premiers with money. This result benefited those in the Capcom Pro Tour Asia Finals as now Nemo, Xian, Bonchan, and Infiltration are qualified. You can now get into Capcom Cup with a 5th place finish so players like Dakou, MOV, and Misse are probably happy with that result. Players around the 100-150 mark are probably happy too.

Yup. I've seen gatekeeping at low level MTG events with pithy prizes, but luckily they're ditching handing out points at tiny events.

I pretty much expected that ending

Bonchan knows when to throw the brave tiger shots and not get ultra'd

the shots are fast enough that he can make you guess

Man SF4 is such an amazing game. Bonchan blocks Nemo wake up Ultra and punishes with his own ultra. The ultra Bonchan used gave Nemo enough meter for another ultra and he uses wake up ultra again, striking the unsuspecting Bonchan.

What a sequence.

What a game.

So now you can see why separating the points and qualified players into separate categories is pointless. The premiers will very likely not have that much of a difference into who gets into Capcom Cup unless players decide not to travel to them so the points spots will keep reverting to the top 32 standings more and more.

Asia Finals is the one tournament that has a good chance at shaking up the top 32 standings. The last 2 ranking events will also have a bigger chance to effect the standings.

If i'm not wrong at the moment Xian it's the only outsider that has confirmed he'll go to Milan Games Week.

No Topanga A League members will join. Maybe we could see Fuudo and Mago but it seems it'll be a tournament with not many asians. The only ones that could travel are the YBK crew (At the moment it doesn't seem like) and Gonzalez (Maybe).

So probably a good chance to see an european taking the direct spot. But to be honest, right now it doesn't look like someone besides Valmaster and Problem X could win Luffy... Maybe Gagapa could be another contender (Idk if he'll go to Italy).

Will see.

Haitani is going too.

edit: I just found the list.

Non-EU known players: Haitani, Xian, Shiro, Reiketsu, Gonzalez, Tonpy, Fuudo, Dark Jiewa, and RB.

In top 32 at the moment: Haitani, Xian, Shiro, Tonpy, Fuudo, Dark Jiewa, Luffy, Problem X, and Valmaster.

In top 32, but need points: Haitani, Valmaster

Players that could make a dent in the top 32 with top 3-4 finish: Ryan Hart, Infexious, RB, Phenom, Gonzalez

To be honest, next weekend probably will determinate who's going to capcom cup. Pretty sure most of topanga league players will attend Canada Cup next month.

The premier event with no many top of the top asians and 2 ranking events that most likely will have US players split. As soon as registration list start to pop up we can start to see the odds.

I wonder if any asian player will attend costa rica (Imo the one that seems to be the less stacked tournament to get points). RB, could you send AiAi to Costa Rica?

edit: Costa Rica right now has Pr Rog, 801 Strider and Itabashi Zangief confirmed.
