If NX is like $300, this game could convince me to upgrade. I really don't want to have to play this on Wii U. This gameplay combined with great visuals would be AMAZING.

Me too. Is there a compelling reason to wait for NX? We don't really know much of anything about NX yet.

Well, it will obviously be a significant better version of the game, at least visually. We're already seeing the U's shortcomings out in full force here, with terrible pop-in, barren landscapes in the distance, poor textures, etc. Not saying this doesn't look nice, but the NX version should look pretty amazing.

I guess I'm just hoping that you will see more in this world but they purposefully removed it from this E3 build in order to not spoil things but that may just be wishful thinking on my part.

I feels it's more like the latter. There have been numerous E3 demo's that have been purposefully gimped to prevent further progression.

I would've liked a little more of the set up of the story other than just waking up to this world.

This is exactly what people have been wanting for the past decade though.. just dropping you into the world without a bloated tutorial. I think it's perfect. I'm sure the actual game will have an intro to go along with it too, but even without one i'm good.

Funny you say that because Aonuma kinda replied personaly to this: "I don't won't to spoil your fun so no infos about story and towns will be seen at this E3".

I swear to god I though : "did he just replied to GAF ?"

They are calling Chico the destroyer, they are reading this for sure. :)

I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing but I am a little worried about how vastly the world looks but feels very lifeless. So far with all that we've seen its been just big vast areas with nothing really in them besides small encampments of enemies and random treasures to find (and small shrines). They have stated several times today that towns and people are in the game but I'm worried that they will be secluded to those towns and you won't see many people out in the actual world, this works in older Zelda titles because the world itself isn't very big (not anywhere near as big as this is anyway) but when you have such a huge and open world it needs to have things that populate it. I guess I'm just hoping that you will see more in this world but they purposefully removed it from this E3 build in order to not spoil things but that may just be wishful thinking on my part.

this one of my biggest worries. I actually didn't enjoy anything they showed so far and very conflicted that so many thinks that alot of people enjoy this. I may be super wrong and if that's the case sure whatever but right now I will probably just skip this game.

My jaw is on the floor. That horseback fight against the guardian just did me in. Everything I've seen of this game so far (and that's basically everything shown so far) points to this being the Zelda Nintendo have always dreamed of doing. The ambition shown today is absolutely mindblowing. The wait is going to be devastating.

YO, HE STARTED A FIRE IN FRONT OF A GUARDIAN, USED THE RISING SMOKE TO CARRY HIM UP WITH HIS PARACHUTE THING, AND FIRED AT THE GUARDIAN WITH A BOW IN MID AIR.

YOOOOOO

I closed the stream an hour ago or so but now is the time I stop following this thread

The only thing I'm down on is the sheer size of the world, not to mention how it will take ages to scale the world vertically in order to explore everything. Apart from that I'm beyond satisfied with the level of environmental interactivity in the overworld and the design of the mini dungeons. I still don't understand why the world has to be this massive but whatever.

I guess at this point I can repeat the rumor.

What I had heard, exactly, was:

- Game is about Technology vs. Magic
- The general themes are "Robots, sanctuary, ruins"
- There are 130 or so mini-dungeons
- There is different weather (did not say if it was dynamic)
- There are four large dungeons

It seems like the 130 mini-dungeons part was true, so I am probably safe trusting the rest now.

They did. It was said during the stream. People and towns were excluded for this stream.
