It's probably going to get worse for trump's campaign.The conservatives campaign last year in Canada's federal election kept on getting worse and worse as the months went on. Trump's campaign is currently way worse than that campaign and I expect trump to continue to run a really really awful campaign.

You're forgetting that Trump has this amazing ability to make the easiest issue to get rid of explode into a ball of plasma.

Was wonderful. She acted so incredulous about what exactly Trump said that was wrong and then Wolf just laid it down succintly. Must be getting harder and harder to spin these stories when they just keep piling up.
Edit: My dad is a massive fan of the republican party, watches fox news all the time and even got a little caught up in the tea party movement, and absolutely hates Hillary with a passion. After the Khan controversy even he can't stick with Trump any longer and finally told me he just isn't going to vote after months of me trying to convince him to at least vote third party. Trump is losing people over this, he isn't teflon on everything.

Dunno. He "apologized" about the judge and moved on, I'd imagine his camp is begging him to do the same with Khan. Release a corporate, emotionless statement that calls Khan's son a hero/thanks him for his service, mentions Trump was not insinuating anything about the wife, mentions all Muslims are not terrorists...but he still supports the immigration ban because etc etc etc.
It feels close. Closer than I would have guessed even last week.
Trump is on really dangerous ground right now. He can't be the guy destroying the GOP's brand, AND attacking incumbent senators/congressional leaders in the run-up to primaries, AND losing badly at the polls. He is giving them no excuse to carry on with the charade.
The best part is, if the gop abandons him, his pathological need for validation and revenge will direct his rage towards the GOP rather than Hillary.

NBC Nightly news dedicated the first two segments to Trump. 1/3 of the show is dedicated to Trump.
They covered the refusal to endorse McCain and Ryan, his falling poll numbers, the Kahn family statements, the crying baby thing, the Purple Heart, his trouble with women voters, the sexual harassment thing and the "Take out the bitch" 10 year old.

And yet with everything that is happening I still don't think his poll numbers will fall below 40%. His supporters just don't care, and the republican party has two options right now. They either disavow Trump in mass or go along with it. Going along with him at this point seems to be an easy way to lose the House as well as the Senate, but straight up abandoning him could rip the party in two. Actually the faction that is with Trump is bigger than the people who won't support him, so we could actually see the GOP lurch even further right

Anecdotal story time but my cousin and his family from K.C. are visiting (Tea Party Republicans) and it turns out they have always been disgusted by Trump and said they would never vote for him. They were the only people I knew that I thought could theoretically vote for Trump so I'm happy to know that was never going to happen. Of every non-democrat I know not a single one is going to vote for Trump.
Obviously they know people over there who say they're voting for Trump, but even they are not convinced people are actually going to do it. They're holding onto hope that people are just being dicks and making a point but will abstain come election day.
