FYI, people with real info can give you something more concrete, like a game's genre, or even a game title itself. There's certain information that can be provided that will in not endanger a source's identity, because the information is so widely-known in the company that you'd have to trace back actual comms to figure it out. "Insiders" who tell you things like, "a big reveal that will blow you away" are simply selling porky pies. They don't know shit, and are simply aggregating rumors widely available online, and trying to draw logical conclusions.

of John in general for example and I like their tools to measure.

The last videos of Alex I really like it, I just don't like when Alex play to be an authority
in game dev because the guy is far of be that even many indie devs has more knowledge
in the "how to" than the entire DF team together.

Btw I agree with Alex the consoles will need something similar to DLSS if they don't want to left
behind when the RT start to be heavily used, could be inferior but they need something similar
or at least show they have so NVIDIA don't use DLSS as its definitive weapon.

Consoles have 4kcb which is already excellent. It just needs to be widely used and maybe tweeked a bit. PS4 Pro even had dedicated checkerboarding hardware. It didnt quite work with some games like ND games and RDR2, but there is no reason why the tech cant get better going forward.

30 -> 120 : No time to render even the basics

Not trying to be apologetic of Halo Infinite, but maybe the framerate has eaten their next-gen look on the demo. I'm curious to see the MP, sure it won't be 4k@120, but interesting nonetheless.

The only good TV I can find that can do full 4K 120 w/ full range VRR and eARC is the LG CX OLED. But expensive.

4k 120 fps with VRR is like PS6 thing. LG C9 with 4k 60fps VRR will be fine.

Sony out here playing Shogi. PS4 was a stop gap training bed.The PS5 is Sony back to form with the exotic hardware. Im definitely sure there's similar/close to Cell level craziness in the PS5. We might get hints of the tech at the next GDC ,but most likely near the end of gen. When the PS6 shows up. Thanks for the post & data.

Not really my main TV is a 77" C9 but wanted a set I could leave on certain channels a lot more and game on.

That X900H is HDMI 2.1 eventually with full 4k 120hz VRR and EARC btw.

The difference between them both is, at least, shinobi has some sources, Benji knows shit.

Dusk Golem and Grubb revealved themselves as MS bitches too, but like shinobi they do have sources.

On sony side, we have Tidux and Fox and like Benji, they know nothing.

Sony has so much control over their stuff it's hard to have an insider.

Anyway, I'm not saying they shouldn't pick a side, it's absolutely normal imo. When they have infos and tips, it is great.

Yeah but I like to buy TVs for 10 years or more. Still got a Sony LCD from 2008, works great for over 12 years. So if PS6 is around 6-7 years from now, I’d love to have a 4K set that can hit full HDMI 2.1 potential and last 10 years or so.

OLED scares me because I like to leave games running or sometimes I fall asleep with the TV on, and I just don’t want to even think about burn in. LEDs are fine, I’ll take the lesser contrast for peace of mind and less cost.
