There is something wrong with it in my opinion. Xbox's line up is comparatively fucking shit. Again, this is if the Demon's Souls thing is true. If it is then yeah, Xbox's is comparatively shit, on paper. Medium and Scorn could end up as 90/100 games so you never know.

In regards to Scorn:

What sort of length are you targeting for an average playthrough of Scorn?

For an average player, 8-10 hours.”

https://www.google.com/amp/s/gaming...rytelling-inspirations-structure-and-more/amp

So yeah. For a most that’s about a 5 - 7 hour experience I’d say. I don’t think that is going to do well even if it’s 10/10.

"One I like is blocking the triggers when your weapon jams, to give to the player an immediate feedback even before the animation plays out, which prompts the player in a physical way that they have to unjam their gun." –Dinga Bakaba // Game Director, Deathloop

I have 1 issue with this. Rocket fricking league has given my trigger finger repetitive strain injury. Now if I have to press the trigger for long or harder than usual, my trigger finger starts to hurt a little. I can only image this is going to persist if the dualsense is going to force resistance into the trigger.

Will be worth it though..... no pain no gain right....RIGHT?!
I'm pretty sure you will be able to disable it inside a couple of menus, just like rumble nowadays.

So it's an add-on like SMMM if you judge it only by lenght :D

Yeah, you can't call titles like Scorn or MM "add-ons." That's like DLC and very limited in scope. These might not be 20-40 hour titles (we don't know about MM) but they are definitely full on their own. Bottom line, if you can buy it separately, it's at MOST a spin off or lighter title. Should be something like AAA- or something to denote the full quality of the game, but not as long as a standard AAA title. Then again, some AAA titles are just 8-10 hours. So I give up. Bottom line, if you don't have to own something first like the original Spider Man game let's say...then it's NOT an add on. We'll have to see how long MM is but I thought I read it was about 20 hours? That would make it a full on game to me. We shall see.

So he says he signed an NDA, then he immediately goes out to reveal not only that Sony showed him a video (the fact itself, considering the insane level secrecy they have been maintaining so far, would most likely be covered in said NDA), but even exactly how long that video was (which would DEFINITELY be covered by the NDA).

Then 20 minutes later he tries to toot his own horn and hype it all up again. It's not a reply to somebody mind you, it's a completely new Tweet that adds nothing other than exaggerating his previous claim even more.

Then he realizes a lot of people are not going along with his story and call him a fraud, so he immediately throws a pity party for himself. Including a dramatic vow to never talk about PS5 again because people are so toxic. Immediately after having reiterated that he's going to post a video about PS5 as soon as the NDA terminates.

All the while he keeps spamming a sad pointless hashtag of himself. If you click on it, the second very thing you see after some gameplay segment is somebody calling him out for saying retarded shit in a past occasion.

What the fuck am I supposed to make of this? Laugh, cry, despair...?
A good start would be to stop posting this attention whoring gobshite's tweets.

That is an insult to SMMM to even mention this in the same breath! 🤣🤣🤣

SMMM will be comfortably over 10 hours for the story and then the open world stuff will push it out to 20 hours I reckon.

Just going by what Spider-Man had in it.

I mean not to disrespect Scorn - but it’s a game that failed to kick start at first, and is a small “style over substance” indie experience from a studio that hasn’t put out a game before.

That’s fine, everyone starts somewhere - but putting it up against SMMM is as some kind of competitor is ridiculous.

Budget size is what determines if its AAA or not. Size or game length does not matter. People can call SM miles dlc or addon whatever but facts dont care. That dlc looking muy caliente :lollipop_anxious_sweat: :messenger_fire:

For what it's worth, a distributor in the UK that distributes Sony published titles only added R&C, Demon Souls, GT7 and Spider-Man to their system.

No Horizon, Sackboy, Returnal etc. That could possibly point to those four titles being launch and launch window.
I was always under the impression the launch line-up would be Demon's Souls, GT7 and Miles Morales. I'd like R&C too and I'm afraid Polyphony will delay GT like always. BUT, if Insomniac somehow manages to launch 2 launch titles... God, this was the best studio acquisition of the decade.

“The haptic feedback precision allows us to do all sorts of new things. In Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we’ll be hinting to players which direction attacks are coming from by providing haptic feedback from the appropriate direction on the DualSense wireless controller. What does it feel like to use Miles’s stealth ability? How does a Venom Blast feel? Because of the high resolution of DualSense wireless controller’s haptics system, we can really push the dimensionality of the feedback. For instance, as you hold down Square to do a Venom Punch, you feel Spider-Man’s bio-electricity crackle across from the left side of the controller, culminating in the right side on impact.”

–Brian Horton // Creative Director, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

"I think the most effective use of the adaptive trigger [in Gran Turismo 7] is for representing the operation of the antilock brake system (ABS) while braking. A typical ABS releases brake pressure intermittently while the driver applies pressure to the pedal. The adaptive trigger is suited for recreating this pedal feel, and it will allow the player to accurately feel and understand the relationship between the braking force they want and the tire’s grip.

Compared to the rumble force feedback we had in the past, the special character of the haptic feedback is that it has a bigger range of frequencies it can produce.

What this means, is that sound design and tactile design can be handled in a continuous, integrated manner. "

I was watching a gameplay of Battletoads, I know the companies can make big mistakes
when talking about its first party games like Knack for Playstation or Nintendo Land for Nintendo.

But man wtf with this game, if Battletoads sell something is completely for its name in other case
this game would be forgotten in steam or itch.io at least my two last examples were demos in
some way of its respectives consoles. I only can rescue is the color palette seems to me according
to the game and music is good.

We know Xbox studios can deliver much better games specially when you big last release in console
was Ori and this was not from one your first party and have some problems of framerate on Xbox
one classic and S.

Please don't destroy the legacy of your games, please don't be Konami.

BattleToads isn't even a direct XGS title is it? I thought this IP got farmed out to some small studio.

Ugh. No...DON'T support China. I swear...horrific stuff going on in that country and nobody cares, because of that sweet $$. I'm pretty sure if the events of 1938-1945 were happening today people would be like 'well, Germany is a little rough on it's own people...but those trade agreements and getting cheap Mercedes cars! Wow!'
Money is in China now. I buy most of my stuff from there😅. US companies sucks our wallets dry and give nothing in return.

NWO is real, we are shifting to China.

Yes but is your property is like if Nintendo release Smash in that quality, even the studio of Ori is
not part of Xbox and for many time neither the studio of Forza Horizon and probably are the games
with higher quality in all the gen of Xbox One.

I thought the complaint of be a smartphone game was a exaggeration but not at all, in the stores
of Apple and Google exists games better than this one. If the game was not dev by you that doesn't
mean is not your responsibility.

Just look what Nintendo did with Metroid Prime 4.

Which is my point. Needs to stop. We are rewarding horrific behavior. Not like any country is pure as the driven snow...but....concentration camps? Gotta draw that line somewhere, money or not.
Let's not get political in here but... Let's not ignore the US has ICE detention centres. Everywhere is fucked!!

I have a degree in politics, I like politics.... but please, no politics in the fun game thread. plez

Ok, good call. No politics. As I said, no country is pure and wonderful. Your comparison isn't valid on many levels. But my point is, that letting China take over the gaming market is not a good business move in the end for the big software companies just from the standpoint of how the government has ownership and control of those businesses. Several other multi-national companies have had assets seized, IP taken, etc. So in the end, all that cash may well not be worth it...any human rights considerations aside. ;) So that's gaming related...I guess it's gray area politics so I'll just leave that here.

On another note...I'm starting to get PSYCHED for the possibility of Demons Souls being a launch or launch window title even! Wow! I played the HELL out of that game and all the other Souls title. I'm talking multiple characters with hundreds of hours each. I will do the same with this remake, I'm sure! PLUS Spiderman? You kidding me? That's a great launch lineup all by themselves, let alone the other titles that should be coming at least in the same time range!

I've known what China's doing to Hong Kong. I love HK. It breaks my heart!
I'm so done with the World at times.

I am getting seriously nervous that we won't have consoles to buy in November....I wish they were coming out BEFORE November as well. Just need more news and distraction. GAMING NEWS ONLY! lol.

Ok! I quite liked Knack for £5 and Nintendo land was one of the very few Nintendo Wii-U title which seemed like it had some ideas for the screen controller. 😁

In fact, I just thought of this. Why the HELL didn't we get any games out of the Battlestar Galactica remake? We could USE a good space game or even a good space flight simulator. I'd like to see both. Maybe a tactics based game that ALSO had space flight sim in it? All I know that was released was the tactics simulator "Deadlock." I think there was a PS2 game based on the old 80's series?

But that would be one good property. Of course, I always am hoping that someone will do something great with David Weber's Honor Harrington series. STILL think that would make a GREAT series of movies or a good long running TV series of some sort. But as a game it would have TONS of possibilities as well. Well, I can keep dreaming, I guess. Just not a lot of good, recent stuff in that genre as far as gaming goes.

Manticore!
