I'm waiting for PSVR2 before i jump back in to Sony land. Gamepass is allowing me to game to my hearts content, while spending 'nothing'

Definitely larger than many AA and indie games out there.
Except it's not an indie game. Nor is it a complete game. Just accept the truth, it was essentially a demo for ps5 controller, executed to extreme perfection.
I had a blast with it, for that very brief period, I'm ready and waiting with my money for a real game from that team.

The game was made for 30fps, so there is lots of motion blur, the game has no visual settings, hopefully we have a lot more control over visuals in rift apart.
tell me someone what is the fucking point of 60fps when you can't remove this retarded blur?
any detail is lost in this game the second you pan your camera to left or right.

I went back to my save but my only three achievements left are doing the hoverboard race in under 1:35, making everyone dance with the Groovitron and doing every Trespasser puzzle without using autocomplete. I literally went through the game twice again just trying to do the latter two and didnt think I missed a TP puzzle but I must've.
The groovitron one I just don't know what I've missed, I read the big fish in the sewers/hydrodisplacer area were the most easily missed but I got them and still no pop, any ideas GAF?

Is it just me or has Uncharted 4 aged REALLY badly compared other graphical showcases from last gen?
I fired it up the other night and I couldn't believe how ropey it looked, especially the low res textures. But it was more than just that - lots of the scenery looked a bit simplistic and if you looked into the distance the compromises were blatant. It was only chapter 8 I tried tbf, the one in Scotland.
I was shocked. Right up to getting my PS5 at launch Uncharted 4 was basically as good looking as any game I'd played. Perhaps a bit worse than some games in some respects but better in others.
I should say that I've also got a bigger tv since then, 65 inch vs 55 inch. But every other game has looked better on it, not worse.
And yeah I've hardly played native PS4 games since I got the PS5, but it's almost all been cross gen stuff and 60fps patches. It can't just be the 30fps can it? Or is it 1440p? Have I just got used to (fake) 4k? I will say that I thought Jedi Fallen Order looked like shit in its PS5 upgrade, too, and that's lower res...
I was really surprised. I might look at some other levels tonight.

The 30 FPS is brutal. It's still pretty but it's hard to play in comparison to all the other games in the series having 60 fps options

Yeah I dunno. Obviously 60fps would help tremendously, but I really think it's aged a bit too. I'm up to chapter 10 and some of it still looks great but others look low res or even surprisingly low poly.
I suppose it is 5 years old now.
Havent tried 4 yet but U3 aged really bad gameplaywise.
Yeah it's hard to play the first 3 now. Makes you realise just how much of the appeal was just the spectacular set pieces, graphics, locations etc.

The point of the 60fps is to increase performance. The blur was never there to increase the framerate so having both isn't as contradictory as it might seem. The blur may have been implemented, as I think you are hinting at, to take the edge off of a lower framerate but it could also have been put there for stylistic reasons (probably both, actually). I think what's happened is that while the blur may no longer be as necessary to smooth out rough edges, it may still be necessary to realize the intended look of the game.
For what it's worth, I like the look of the blur. Seeing as how it's no longer as vital, though, I think they should probably give gamers a toggle so people can remove it if they prefer a crisper image.
Giving players performance/visual choices is bomb. It's always the best course of action.

I'm not sure with all the amazing PS Plus offering, many free games with no PS Plus, and people only look at the empty part of the glass. He's talking only about 120Hz mode anyway, but not sure if it's really necessary or worth it, nothing about being upset. But many people are overreacting over MLB, something Sony is mostly forced to agree to.

But Bo you do get why people are a little disappointed right? On the one hand the game is straight-up $70 to play the game on PlayStation meanwhile it's a smaller monthly rental price to play it. Had this game not been made by PlayStation studios at all to begin with you wouldn't see the sorta backlash that we are seeing today.
I started playing this right when the Patch arrived and just like playing Days Gone at 60FPS, this one was also a great joy to play and experience. I only paid 10€ as a greatest hit title so the short total play time was totally fine by me (although 2-3 worlds more would have helped to make it a well rounded package).
Now I started playing GTA5 on my PS5 and the graphics are in comparison really rough - maybe I should skip that until the Next-Gen upgrade patch arrives, have still plenty of other games in my backlog to play.

I know but it appeals to a tiny market anyway, also it's good that people are putting pressure on Sony. But this pressure will only result in a new MLB The Shitshow 22 that is full of MTX and available day one on PS+ or Now. Sony had no say here anyway, this will only be bad for the devs if anything.

I platinumed this years ago back on PS4, and i'm loving playing through this again on PS5, it feels that much better to me. Looks quite a bit sharper too!!! I can't wait for the new one!!!

It's SUPER under-rated how much DF has said the update for this game maybe a game changer for all older PS4 games to run at 60fps on the PS5 in the future.
