I am happy if Starfield is not on PS5:

1. Gives a push, to Sony, to fill the void on its platform
2. If it's on Gamepass, and it's passably interesting, I can get a €15 pass for 1 month, beat the game on PC and drop Gamepass. Exacly how I did with WD Legions and AC:Valhalla: I got UBIpass for 1 month and played and beat 2 AAA games for €15

This gives me the opportunity to keep money to buy PS5 exclusives. I'll be a happy camper!



Then I'll keep my Death Stranding (which I enjoyed very much!)


They have a fuck ton to prove, given the past lack luster years.

Well, I think that as MS said, their strategy will be mostly 'first on or better on Xbox'. I think they will make some full exclusive games, some timed console exclusive games and some multiplatform games. And when announcing their timed exclusives they won't say they are timed exclusives, they will wait to announce the PS5 version until the game has been som months published for PC and Xbox.

But at the same time one of their first announcements need to be a full console exclusive to give their fans something to brag about and to make their console and Gamepass appealing to more people.

So I think it's possible Starfield may end full console exclusive, but I think it's more likely that it will be a timed console exclusive.

I just hope it’s good but I don’t have much confidence seeing as Bathesda has been pretty crappy since they released Skyrim. Their games are a meme at this point when it comes to glitches. You can get a Windows key for ~$10 and then never give another penny to Microsoft while still being able to make full use of the Windows platform while the same isn't true on android/iOS. That's the difference between an open ecosystem and a closed one.

The point isn't the store that is something which Microsoft introduced relatively recently… when it was already a business behemoth and has dominated the operating system market for decades. the Windows platform is theirs, managed by them and is "built to push you towards their products be it...Edge, office, Skype gamepass or whatever they will introduce in the future some of them win over the users some not but only ms has the ability to introduce products and integrate them directly at the system level . There will never, ever be a pre-installed sony store on Windows ...as on Android, Firefox or Edge will never be pre-installed. I know it makes you angry to know that Windows PCs are an integral part of Ms ecosystems because in some eyes it puts Sony at a disadvantage but it is what it is. accepting it or not does not change reality. They are (Ms) totally free to change small or huge things ... as was happening with the filesystem and with what they were doing with uwp to

As a Nintendo guy, I’ve sat around for ages while Sony fans try to diminish a lot of Nintendo game releases just because they don’t have those games. Bad graphics or whatever excuse.

As I remember his last game as director was Fallout 4, released 6 years ago. I don't think he has anything to prove, Skyrim was also very successful and got more than 88 in MC. He also worked as executive producer on Fallout Shelter, Fallout 76 and the upcoming Indiana Jones games.

Regarding Sony, in addition to ND they also have more studios that released GOTY winners or candidates, or with high MCs. Every year they have some. Some examples are Ghost of Tsushima or GoW, or even Demon's Souls getting a 92.

I am not a fan of making the game exclusive and made that clear in other posts. As long as the game is available in Gamepass day 1 I say the more the merrier.

My comment was regarding the fact that anytime a game is announced as xbox exclusive it is no longer shit and will be a failure. You can already see it in this thread.

2) I have never liked Elder Scroll and Fallout: I have always found them to be badly designed and buggy games. Bethesda, and Zenimax as a whole, isn't a company that makes games that I appreciate. If Starfield is just like Elder Scroll and Fallout, you can keep it. If it's something interesing, I'll play it on PC. So, what do I care if it's on PS5 or not? It's not like I have just one platform and one only.

Bethesda is big. Fallout76 was made by another team. Skyrim VR was also made by another team. The BGS main branch at Maryland with Todd Howard at the helm has been working on Starfield for a long time now, officially it has been in active production since after Fallout 4 but started pre-production years before that. Doesn’t mean Bethesda as a whole can’t be blamed for the varied quality lately but you need to realize why people are excited here, it’s in many ways because Starfield is a new big IP from the king of RPG devs and is made by the team that made Skyrim a metacritic 96 game. If you hated Skyrim then yeah, concerns are valid. But if you loved Skyrim then oh boy it’s alright to be very very excited!

My only concern is, who’s making The Elder Scrolls VI?? If it’s the same team then it means it has only been in pre-production so far and will start active production after Starfield is released. Which means a lot of waiting for TES fans

He didn't make the game. I don't know how many different times I have to say it. Bethesda has 4 studios and his studio was making Starfield. Bethesda Austin made Fallout 76.

Hes the spokesman for the company and the face of the company so he will get on stage and sell the game. He makes money off that just by talking. But he didn't make it.
