If it pops up on Netflix or Prime Video, I’ll give it a whirl. I’m not sure I’d want to spend money, however little it be, if I’m not guaranteed to like it. That said, I did enjoy The Godfather, so…
thats funny, i have yet to see the godfather, but ive heard its one of the best. just gotta find 5.5 hours, or whatever it is lol

Yeah, Godfather is up there with some of the longest. It’s definitely worth a watch, though, if you ever get the chance. One of my favourites, along with The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

I've really been getting into the Paul McGann Doctor Who audio dramas recently, he's a fantastic Doctor. What a shame we only got him in that Doctor Who movie and a brief appearance in a special.

Highly recommend to any fellow Doctor Who fans, a whole bunch of them are free to listen to also.

At my desk right now looking like I'm busy.

Grateful to have a job period but damn people weren't meant to live in cubes like this doing nothing.

Well, most cubicle farm jobs are like that. You spends more time looking like you're doing your job than actually doing your job. You can use the situation to your advantage though, use the time to learn more skills. If what's on your screen looks "Boring" nobody will pay attention to you so pick one of the Microsoft Office programs and learn to use it really well for example. I've also seen people day trading at work making more money than they job was paying them sometimes.

I use my time to plan my meals for the following week and look up new recipes, simply because I’m lame like that. I occasionally dabble in learning a new language, too.

You’re a lucky fuck. Try having my gf for a month and let me know how that goes.

Where are you finding them (legally)? On Big Finish I only see a couple for McGann that aren't excerpts. Thanks in advance :messenger_grinning:
On my podcast app of choice (Pocket Casts!) they're listed under Doctor Who - Big Finish Audio Dramas, maybe try searching along those lines. They seemingly have all the Eighth Doctor's adventure series up to the Time War episodes and even have some post episode interviews and tidbits of info about the recording process.

So when I used to work from home in the cold months, I’d let the Nest turn the heat down during the day and tough it out. Now I’m looking at it thinking “but I’m cooooold.” And I do have some sort of cold. But also natural gas prices are up. But also I don’t really care and we can afford it. But also pride. But also my toes.

Comfort is king.

Also it’s more cost effective to maintain a consistent temp rather than allowing big swings in temp.

Burn your video games as a source of heat, unless you've gone all digital then you'll be regretting that now.

Layer up. Install a fireplace and chimney. Chop down a tree. Take the second pair of socks off when you have a roaring fire.

So, I got a bottle of alcohol free wine as a gift and I'm not sure what to do with it. Where's the point of drinking wine if you can't get drunk?

Plus I'm scared that I will have the strong urge to smoke and curse a lot before I start crying and tell everyone I love them.

I could use it for cooking, I guess. Or maybe I find a sober alcoholic bum who'd be glad to have it.

I slept poorly last night (night before too). Only managed to get 5.5 hours. I don't know how people can operate routinely with such little sleep. My whole headspace is f'ed. Starting to feel a bit better now that I'm half a cup of coffee in.

Haaaaaaaaahahahahahaha have 2 kids
my bro's kid is 1 month old, all solidarity appreciated

Got a gas fireplace upstairs and wood fired stove style downstairs. I haven’t tried the downstairs one, I feel like I should have the chimney swept before I try it just in case.
smart move

electric blanket comfy.

in japan road workers and the like have jackets with built in airconditioning fans during the summer months, wonder if there's a warmth equivalent...

Our electric blanket is king size for the Mrs. and my bed, but maybe they make a Snuggie size

Definitely get it swept because it’s much better to be safe than risk a chimney fire. Then use it. We couldn’t use our boiler or half the lights last year, and we only had the fireplace for warmth. I loved it. There’s something more… real, maybe, about fireplace heat. Standard heating just feels very uniform and boring, and usually too hot. There’s a freshness that comes with being able to walk away from a fire and instantly feel the difference.

There is, someone showed me one before a few years ago. I think it had USB rechargeable batteries that powered it.
