Gran Turismo 7 Deep Forest gameplay

I watched it on my tv and yes it looks weird, colors are off and look’s cartoony somehow, like fortnight artstyle or something.

If it wasn't vehicle for the vehicle lod pop in improvement I'd swear this is the PS4 Pro version.
It looks so sterile and off. I'm looking forward to this game and interested to see how they use the Dualsence. Hopefully this is just a bad choice of video.

ACC on pc is still the best looking racing sim ever, and it got even better with the latest update. It support now DLSS and runs incredible smooth at 4k while looking insane.

Make it night time during a thunder storm and you'll shit your pants :D

Too bad they can't get a good vr performance to save their lives though. Even on a rtx 3080 it's a rough deal sometimes.

Looks great IMO, not sure why some are complaining.
I'll buy it anyway, but it's still arcadey as shit and those ultra exaggerated tire screeches really turn me off. Hope they add a good "dirty air" effect on corners, not just an exaggerated tow on cars that are too slow to take much advantage of it in real life.
Yes I'm very critical, but because I want them to do better and know it will take 8 more years to get a new game from PD.

Slightly off topic but i have a question for any devs on here that happen to see this post.
You see the top screen in the quoted post, its has the same tree model 7 times next to each other. I have no problem with devs using the same tree models over and over, but why do they not twist them a bit, you know plant each tree at a different angle, so it makes it harder to see that its the same tree used over and over.

You see this all the time in games and i can never get why devs dont think 'i'll plant this tree at that angle, then i'll turn this same tree a bit and plant it here' etc. They dont though, they tend to plant the trees like you see in the above pic, at the exact same angle, making it obvious its the same tree.

Any reason why that would be devs?, is it becaue the trees are not hand planted and a AI is generating trees and foliage etc?.

They’re usually flat images that always have to face the screen at all times, so they literally turn on the spot.

So what do you think they will do from now till release?
Make sure the game is playable without crashes. They took years and years to make this, the first real GT after GT6 on PS3, and this is what they show up with? They will not fix anything in a measly couple of months. No this notoriously slow Developer.

I get that with flat tree graphics, as they are basically sprites, but those tree models look like proper 3d assets. And again even with full 3D tree assets, you still get the same problem often in games.

Clearly cross-gen but that was expected given the speed of development from PD. Guess GT8 will release at the end of the generation to be a true PS5 game.

There was something off about this. I still have the legendary edition pre ordered but the colours seemed off?

Is it like that in every stage every where, if not then it may just be that the artist made a mistake when creating the stage and forgetting to rotate those trees.

It should be compared with other circuit racing game. Asseto Corsa Competizione was released in 2018 and it look on par with this with 3 years apart.

It doesn't look good at all. I'm still going to enjoy the hell out of it because it's GT and I love GT but I miss the days when GT was king of graphics.

Obvious LOD transitions, shadow pop-in, reduced framerate in reflections on cars farther away. Gamma seems to be completely off. It reminds me of Project Cars 3. Plus they still use the same old trick that results in all cars on the track to share reflections with your car. You can see it in many places but the most obvious one is around 53 seconds when your car enters the tunnel AI cars magically receive proper reflections from lights inside of it.

It might also get delayed and become another cross-gen game.

One thing we know for sure. Their hdr implementation in sport was God like. At night time this game will look incredible. Brake lights etc will be orgasm inducing!

its not impressive as PS5 gameplay , it will be impressive as it will be on PS4 as well, maybe less resolution or details, but who cares... sound is good, cockpit view is good. just looks very clean and clear.. but thats what track races then are... sometimes realistic can be borring for sure. no doubt forza 8 will be more cinematic racer.
still for those who still keeps their PS4 this will be great.

This looks good.

Not next-gen good, but good by GT standards.

GT6/GT Sport looked fantastic in replays, but underwhelming in gameplay

The quality of the assets/models/lighting here is very high. I also see motion blur (which was not previously present unless at replays).

What looks rough to you apart from the shadow pop in?
Sprite looking trees. I was expecting & the piss poor AO on the inside of the car looked like it was doing some weird stuff with screen space to pull off the AO and maybe that's why it looked so grainy.

Other than that the cars looked pretty nice. I think we've gotten to the point where how can they make them look any better?

The cars look great, its just the environments that need work, I was expecting the environments on the PS5 version to have more layers of geometric detail.

What I love the most about the in-car view in the latest GT games, is that it actually feels like you are in a car. If you pan the camera around, you can watch the feet pressing the pedals, or look behind and see the internal rear of the car. I was disappointed to find in FH5 that you just get a rear camera from outside the car if you look behind you and internally there is very little play. It makes the internal cam feel less immersive.

How is this blowing people's mind here? It looks good that's for sure but not very different than GTS, definitely not a game from a newer generation.
Tbh, I don’t think FH5 is that much more impressive than FH4 was on XoneX, particularly at 60 FPS. In the same way that the PS4 Pro version of GT Sport looks so similar to GT7. In fact, GT Sport cars were designed to be future proof for the next gen. In any racing game, the car should be the star, and it really is in GT.

This doesn't look great, especially when compared to Horizon 5.

I expected more from Polyphony Digital.

Edit: apparently expressing an opinion is very funny here. I own a PS5 and was looking forward to this game, but for some this means I need to love every screenshot and trailer that Sony's first parties put out.
Great way to discredit yourselves people.

Surprised so many people mention the screechy tyres. It's like one of the most important audio cues for me, to know when I can push a little more and not lose grip.

It's kind of annoying and shrill but it deffo has purpose.

I think it looks good, but obviously cross-gen. Sunny day is also probably the worst possible condition to have something that looks impressive, for sure at sunset/early morning/night, rainy, etc... will looks better.

Cars radiate love, while the environment is as aseptic as it gets and very "standard-feeling".
Camera is bolted to the car seat.
General feeling is very robotic.
Over-exposure is nice.

Looks good but the vegetation/foliage shadows and/or lighting here were a little too bright. This could also be an art direction decision as far as palette choice too. I know it’s not a focus but everything else is convincing!

Don’t know how qualified I’d be to make that remark since I’m slightly color blind to deep/neutral shades of green/red though.
