Not sure if serious…Nobody seems to be doing this, though.
Don't mind him, he's got all other xbox fanboys blocked so he doesn't whip himself into a frenzy so doesn't know half the mental gymnastics going on to twist Brad's words.Tell that to the large amounts of wishful thinking going on prior to and despite of this news.

Holy shit. You’ve just been promoted to Colonel.Says the guy who always has an avatar that is meant to poke fun of PlayStation.
Your latest with your super cool boy Aaron, is clearly there to celebrate a PlayStation franchise being exclusive to Xbox.
You're a massive Xbox fanboy who hates PlayStation even more than you like Xbox. Just own it. Claiming your not while continually proving you are is pathetic.

If we talk only about sales on PS, each CoD seems to sell ~10-15M on PS. Spider-Man 1 passed the 20M copies over a year a ago.Spider-Man 2 will outsell call of duty? are you high it didn’t outsell it this gen you think it’s going to outsell it next year when there aren’t enough PlayStation in the world and most of the people that have playstations now have them for call of duty?
So you are saying that a spiderman game that will probably release in March will beat a game that will get released in November? Accounting only for sales in 2023? And only sales on PS5?
Excuse me to say that you have choose a very cowardly and trailered bet to feel safe and secure in your "forecast".
This basically sums up the sate of Xbox fanboys atm.
Hoping and wishing for MS to take away COD of all games from PS gamers is
pathetic and outright embarrassing to say the least.
No, you clearly don't otherwise you wouldn't keep referring back to the Bethesda situation
No, the only thing clear from your reply is that it's you that don't understand what happened with Bethesda. Lets sum it up for you:
Xbox announces the purchase of Bethesda
Xbox releases some interviews about said purchase
Sony diehards run around like chickens for months with their heads cut off, pulling on every word that is not concise, claiming that new AAA games not under contract with Sony will still be on PlayStation
Xbox clarifies, but since the wording has the tiniest chance games might still be one Playstation, Sony diehards continue to run around claiming no exclusives for Xbox, looking even sillier
Xbox clarifies even further, stating straight up that games like Starfield and Elder Scrolls are Xbox and PC exclusive
This is exactly what is going to happen with Activision, fast forward to once existing contracts are complete. To believe something else is going to happen is very unrealistic thinking. MS talking to Sony about keeping warzone going forward and or to keep older games on the store doesn't prevent this.
So yes, the question still remains, if you truly believe that MS wants to maximize sales of software over having exclusives, why isn't Bethesda being made multiplatform too? And the rest of the studios?
Phil and Co used their typical roundabout wording regarding Bethesda exclusivity with the only real commitments they made were supporting existing games and meeting contractual obligations. They never name-dropped platforms. They never name-dropped games.
This blog post on the other hand had them name-dropping the franchise. Name dropping the platforms. And the biggest thing is they're making these commitments to the FTC itself. Why you're struggling to understand the importance of that makes you a massive fool, and really just shows how desperate you are for COD to go exclusive.
I don't care if they go exclusive. Yes they are making the comments to the FTC, but in no way do those statements preclude them from doing what I am saying, it's you that are missing just how open ended and vague these carefully worded statements are.
Fast forward to 2023 and MS just says, yep, we meant what we said, Warzone and the old games are on PS5. Oh and we tried to make new contracts with Sony but they didn't give us what we wanted so no new games. (oops we asked for 45% of transaction revenue and 40% of sales)
Or oops I guess we should be more clear, only certain games fit our criteria for multiplatform.
The only one being fooled here is you. (well and a bunch of other people in denial. You don't spend this kind of money to just leave things the way they are, that's so silly it's absurd.
You're the idiot in this conversation man. And you are about to be cold-cocked by reality.Yes, it does preclude them from doing what you're saying. They are not going to be vague or open-ended with the FTC just to bamboozle them like they do with us. They didn't tell the FTC that they would keep COD on PS if Sony agrees to their demands. They told them they would keep COD on PS. Period.
Do you seriously think it would go down well if the FTC questioned them about why they didn't keep the commitments they made to them and their answer was our competitor didn't meet our demands? You're a real idiot if you seriously believe this

I don't play COD. I think you are so desperate to believe that MS wants to sabotage its 70 billion dollar acquisition by making sweetheart deals with Sony that make no sense from a business perspective. That's what I call naivety. But again, you can only live in this imaginary world for so long until reality asserts itself, which it will.Just admit it. You're so desperate for COD to go exclusive that you're naive enough to believe MS is trying to fool the FTC. Over a video game to boot.

You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how things work. Once the deal is closed, they only have to continue to support the games that are already released. If they wanted to, MS could simply stop making COD games altogether and no one could do anything about it. There is nothing that can force them to even make new COD games, much less release them for Sony's platform. This is not even legal stuff, this is just common sense.Apparently, the FTC is too stupid and, will be outsmarted by the simplest deception of "We'll say one thing, but totally do another once the deal closes! The ass clowns at the FTC will never see it coming! It's the crime of the century!" according to a good portion of gaf.
Just wait until Metal Gear and Silent Hill come back too…These guys think Sony exclusives are just better than anything with no logic just because it’s from Sony. Lol imagine if Spider-Man couldn’t even outsell cod on it’s on platform yet it will next year with a lower install base. These guys are crazy
Most of them are having wet dreams with this and are twisting and spinning MS own words to try and convince everyone else that it’s happening.Nobody seems to be doing this, though.
Yes I have reading comprehension you jump from one "forecast " to "another"Where are you getting the idea that Spiderman 2 will release in March? The prior games released in September and November, respectively. Both Spiderman and CoD tend to release towards end of year. Also, I did not limit to PS5 sales.
I never proposed a bet. Why are you having such difficulties with reading comprehension?
CoD and Battlefield have had virtually no competition. For all of the flack BF2042 received, it was still top 5 in sales for 2021. I chalk this up 100% to lack of competition. The next generation Sony exclusive FPS will claim top position over whatever next gen equivalent there is for CoD. Period.
I didn't say this.
You have to read more carefully. I didn't say another shooter will overtake CoD in a year or two. I said assuming 2023 CoD is next gen only, it will not be the top selling game. Spiderman 2 will outsell 2023 CoD if 2023 CoD is next gen only.
No, I'm just analyzing/interpreting historical financial metrics and trends while making reasonable estimates to fill in blind spot/gaps of the future and making a prediction. Very similar to the analysis I made shortly after the Activision deal was announced to predict that CoD would remain multi-platform. I could still end up being wrong even with logical reasoning; it happens all the time both in finance and in life, but I certainly didn't base this projection on the idea that Sony exclusives are better (although I do believe they are; personal preference).
We shall see.
But if they do make a COD game (which we all know they will), they will have to release that game on PlayStation as well. You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how things work. No! Just Warzone! But if they do make a COD game (which we all know they will), they will have to release that game on PlayStation as well.
Not at all.But if they do make a COD game (which we all know they will), they will have to release that game on PlayStation as well.
At the peak of PS4 install base. It’s not outselling cod 2023 2024 at all. Not with the current install base which is heavily guys who play call of duty still. If we talk only about sales on PS, each CoD seems to sell ~10-15M on PS. Spider-Man 1 passed the 20M copies over a year a ago.
Not at all.
Rofl. And just what is removing the game off by far the most profitable platform going to do Michael patcher.I don't play COD. That's what I call naivety. But again, you can only live in this imaginary world for so long until reality asserts itself, which it will.
You clearly have no understanding about how serious all of this stuff is. Don’t you even understand that if they break their deal, they might be forced to let A/B go AFTER the deal is done? Not at all.
It will make it not the most profitable platform. The only reason CoD is so big on PS is because Sony moneyhatted exclusive content and all the diehards migrated to PS. It will be same scenario here except MS is the one with the advantage. This isn't rocket science.Rofl. And just what is removing the game off by far the most profitable platform going to do Michael patcher.
You think all these sales are going to be made up by xbox console sales and gamepass
What seems to be rocket science to you is that MS can’t lie to regulators. It will make it not the most profitable platform. I’m betting on wishful thinking. They’re hoping CoD is taken away from PS for them to have some kind of win. I just find a little weird how this is so important to them.I think they understand how stupid it is what they're saying. That's why none of them will actually admit to what they're suggesting
Ghosts had timed exclusive maps on Xbox, which one sold the most with that? Do we have any figures? It will make it not the most profitable platform. Couldn't be any clearer than this. This is not Phil here. This is the MS president himself.
Not only are COD games staying on Playstation but they're coming to Switch as well.
It's obvious they just want to make as much money as possible.
Exactly. And they can always say they meant with gamepass so there wouldn’t be a need to develop three versions of the game.Which was one of my biggest points, if you are MS, do you say you are going to keep COD from Sony or do you say whatever it takes now and "change your mind" after the acquisition. They have chosen their words, very, very carefully. Not one time does anyone say new call duty AAA games will be developed for Sony/Nintendo.
As far as maintaining what's there you keep the free to play multiplayer like warzone, and you just maintain it and other existing back titles. (why would you turn your back on sales of games already made)
So First you made the prediction that next FPS game from Sony will outsell CoD . Then you re adjusted to mean that Spiderman2 will outsell Call of duty 2023, in 2023.
Thus don't expect us to take this more than childish fanboyism.
It's so big on playstation because PlayStation has a far bigger user base.It will make it not the most profitable platform. The only reason CoD is so big on PS is because Sony moneyhatted exclusive content and all the diehards migrated to PS. It will be same scenario here except MS is the one with the advantage. This isn't rocket science.

Yes, by putting gamepass on those consoles.
Well, yes they can actually. But they aren't lying anyway, the language they used is completely in line with what I've been explaining. What seems to be rocket science to you is that MS can’t lie to regulators.
Yes, I agree.Seems like a smart move. Ms are definitely going to do that.
Spider-Man is huge so that might happen, but a new IP will outperform CoD in sales? Hmm not sure about that one.Pay very close attention - I made two distinct predictions.
1. Spiderman 2023 will outsell the CoD that releases in 2023, assuming it doesn't release on XB1/PS4
2. Whenever a Sony-published FPS releases (I'm guessing from Deviation Games in 2025) for current gen consoles, it will outperform CoD in sales
Take it however you wish.
Oh, you really think this is some kindergarten shit where stuff goes unpunished and everyone handwaves your shit.Well, yes they can actually. But they aren't lying anyway, the language they used is completely in line with what I've been explaining.
Yes, I agree.
I see, you are in the MS are retards and/or liars stage of denial. You are in for a tough time buddy. I will pray for you.Yes, I agree.

Oh I'm sorry, I missed your FTC credentials at the door, how long have you worked for them?
Re-watch / read what they said. It's not that specific. Hire a lawyer maybe to explain it to you.
