The Last of Us Part I - PS5 - Coming September 2 (PC version in development)

It changes the look and adds one line of dialog to the character you're just about to shoot in the face
Guess you missed a lot of the visual story telling of that situation:

The room looks clearer, tidier and more professional to give more the impression the Fireflies knew what they were doing and that Ellie was in "good" hands. Not like the run down appearance the room had in the original with a more creepy looking doctor(wrinkly, deeply sunken eyes, hard facial features etc).

Who tf asked for this?

It looks pretty much the same to me? Maybe the art style is in tact but god damn this better NOT be replacing Ragnarok this year.

I think it is possible we will see the third game in the end of this generation. Then a trilogy remaster release in next gen.

For fuck’s sake, lads

DON’T BUY THIS SHIT.

Just play the remaster on PS4. It’s a great game, but this is naked fucking corporate greed that shouldn’t be awarded with your hard earned cash.

The original, which I’ve always enjoyed for the story/characters/atmosphere, but I hated playing it. My hope is that they fix the (IMO) shit gameplay/AI, bring it up to TLouPII standard (of gameplay) and that’s it. I will pay the full $$$ for that!

Anything else, say a simple up-res, sharper textures, accessibility features, etc., well…..that shit doesn’t matter to me! Bring it up to modern standards (which they should) or fuck off!

I also highly doubt this is a PS5 exclusive, I don't see why they can't scale an engine used on TLOU2 to the PS4.

Unless there's other graphical features we're not aware of.

Bigger W for PC gamers I guess.

I wouldn't compare it to the original in the first place. I would compare it to TLOU2. And that comparison will make look TLOU1 remake disappointing considering it's a PS5 console exclusive.

I guess the comparisons are happen because the same scene, I mean, between TLOUS and the remake.

The game looks like TLOUS2, but people are taking this and get offended? Can't understand why. TLOUS2 looks more next gen than most of the PS5 games.

I would argue it doesn't look much better than TLOU2, but to stay that it looks "pretty much the same" as a goddamn PS3 game is pretty nonsensical when there are plenty of side-by-side comparisons showcasing the stark differences.

I'm surprised you guys didn't know exactly what this was. It's literally TLOU2 with a TLOU1 story pack on top. If they reused the same audio then we'll know I'm right.

They probably have 30-40% of their staff sitting around doing nothing. Now they can make levels and character models and get a paycheck while whatever their next thing is muddles through pre-production. They can take some new hires and show them the original game and tell them to just make that with some slight environment alterations.

I think that once the bitching stops, everyone will probably still buy it. I hate TLOU and always have, but what I've heard from fans is they love the first game and love the gameplay of the 2nd game. Well here you go.

Is it just me or ... do the graphics look the same as The Last of Us 2?
That's the point. They wanted cohesion with Part 1 and Part 2 along with the HBO series coming out.

4K/60 with Part 2's gameplay/animations sounds sublime in some of those Part 1 segments.

Ok, maybe I'm over-exaggerating. But I still say this: gameplay in ND games is just okay. The shooting, cover system, climbing, stealth... it's all just serviceable. It's the story and characters that elevate them.
People saying this asinine stuff always seem to forget/ignore how ND Multiplayer, which is gameplay only, is still played after 10 years for TLOU and 6 years for Uncharted 4.

Man I knew Druckmann was gonna do Joel dirty but he even removed him from the cover.

EDIT: NVM (sorta), he actually is on the cover, but I needed an enlarged pic to spot him on Ellie's arm.

I don't know. There's a clear difference between R&C on PS4 and R&C on PS5. Let's wait and see if we see at least the same quality jump between TLOU2 on PS4 and TLOU1 remake on PS5.

For real. Factions was outstanding. UC2 is still the pinnacle of UC multiplayer for me, but UC4 was still pretty fun.

$70 is a steep price for a game many people have played multiple times over. I’ll definitely get it at a discounted price. It’s still one of the greatest games ever made.

TLOU is in my top five games of all time, and there is no fucking way I’m buying it again at full price just for some updated graphics. You’d have to be a fucking idiot. There are many other games out there. Ones I haven’t already played through multiple times.

Different story for PC gamers who haven’t already played it.

Incredible how each word of your post is just pure shit

That "at least Konami didnt shat on their consumers" was the icing on the cake
Did my post offended you in any way?
How about a discussion on why you disagree with what I said?

Assuming you have the ability to discuss, instead of what you did just now.
Now there's a take of all takes.
No virtual signalling, it was straight up "it's business", ND on the other hand...

It is what it is, a kind of a "small" project. They're making 2 other games now, from the looks of it the MP one will be the big one.

I will probably buy it 30€ on PC. I want to wait for it to release and check out some reviews / comparisons and also a performance review.
