Like I said: keeping the fanbase engaged is vital for MS. You can keep salivating for a SEGA buyout, but it's not happening...
Based nomine??? That ban did something to youBuy Nintendo and Sony already so everyone can move on to Steam and forget about consoles.
I agree so much with this. Xbox is the American brand, and while I think getting Japan on their side would bolster their game library by quite a bit, all the exclusives gotta be western developed.I just don’t get the hardon for Japanese devs. MS just need to embrace their Western roots and forget about this folly. Doing what they are currently doing (getting some games like Dragon Quest, Yakuza, Octopath etc.) is the best thing for them to do.
Yeah was supposed to say “aren’t done”.Aren’t don’t??
Last sentence doesn’t make sense. All of these acquisitions are for the Game Pass machine.
It was a dig against MS implying that even if they bought Sony and Nintendo people would still chose PC over going to Xbox.Based nomine??? That ban did something to you
Yeah and PC is awesomeIt was a dig against MS implying that even if they bought Sony and Nintendo people would still chose PC over going to Xbox.
It is what it is, they can buy every publisher in the world but they can't force people to like Xbox.
I got nothing against PC, I have played on PC long before I started playing on PlayStation. Plenty of the reasons why I hate MS comes from the fact I was playing on PC when they were trying to ruin it and to this day they still are a major driving force in the consolization of PC games another thing I deeply dislike.Yeah and PC is awesome
As far as I'm concerned its a win win, especially since if MS owned them both Sony would speed up on the PC ports and Nintendo would actually start making PC ports
You mean back in the 2000s when they were trying to sandbag pc gaming in order to make Xbox look betterPlenty of the reasons why I hate MS was because I was playing on PC when they were trying to ruin it and to this day they still a major driving force in the consolization of PC games.
Also got fired from game informer. So the guy saying it got fired by Tencent (fanbyte).
I'll believe it when it happens.
Have you looked at the games they released in 2022? It's pretty easy to understand why rumors, promises and speculation is always the focus, it comes from years (decades?) of underdelivering. Why is all the biggest news for Xbox always about what company their about to buy, instead what games their going to release?
From then all the way to now. We lucked out that Valve was able to steal their lunch on the PC space. In a way the best contribution Xbox made to gaming was distracting MS when they could've taken control of PC gaming, at the expense of some terrible trends introduced in the console space. You mean back in the 2000s when they were trying to sandbag pc gaming in order to make Xbox look better
Because you're not just getting one game, but all of them for a convenient $14.99 per month. Why is all the biggest news for Xbox always about what company their about to buy, instead what games their going to release?
Honestly makes me think he just makes shit up and these companies weren't having it.Also got fired from game informer.
Because you're not just getting one game, but all of them for a convenient $14.99 per month.
I'm glad for that myself, but MS these days luckily realized how there will always be an audience for PC (because there will always be an audience of people who want the best gaming experience)From then all the way to now. We lucked out that Valve was able to steal their lunch on the PC space.
That is the game. Why is all the biggest news for Xbox always about what company their about to buy, instead what games their going to release?
That was Jeff Grubb wasn't it? God, what a douche bag. You know giantbomb has gone downhill massively when someone like him is a regular. So is it time to pee out of our buttholes yet?
Took them more than 15 years to realize they should not sabotage their own platform? Congratulations I guess, I just hope they start making games I enjoy now that they are buying so many studios, because so far I wouldn't even notice if their games were not releasing on PC. Ironically the game that they made that I liked the most in the past few years (Flight Simulator) is just a PC game that got an Xbox port.I'm glad for that myself, but MS these days luckily realized how there will always be an audience for PC (because there will always be an audience of people who want the best gaming experience)
and stopped with that Xbox bullshit. I think both of them being integrated is the best possible scenario for now, until Linux's gaming scene and general OS becomes comparable or even surpasses it (despite what many people want you to think it's still a ways off from 99.9999% compatibility)
Is that a rhetorical question? Why is all the biggest news for Xbox always about what company their about to buy, instead what games their going to release?
Oh yeah it probably was. I get the insiders mixed up at times. That was Jeff Grubb wasn't it? God, what a douche bag. You know giantbomb has gone downhill massively when someone like him is a regular.
They all suck anyway.Oh yeah it probably was. I get the insiders mixed up at times.
I haven’t visited Giantbomb in ages. Lol.
Netflix just started a studio also so I think the new line is that they're like 4th place in game subs behind PS+, Amazon, Netflix.I wonder how long microsoft will use the I'm the 5th console company excuse to buy all the industry and bury their competition.
Better late than never, I suppose.Took them more than 15 years to realize they should not sabotage their own platform? Congratulations I guess
MS should talk to Konami to license their dormant IPs. That's the scenario where gamers win the most, instead of acquisitions. Hell MS should buy Konami IPs. They can focus on casinos, hotels and pachinko.
I'll add that to my list of reasons to dislike MS.Better late than never, I suppose.
One thing that especially pissed me off was the removal of support for hardware accelerated sound in Vista which pretty much killed the best 3d audio system (EAX)
Imagine how much better videogames would sound if MS just supported it instead of act a total fool, now we're stuck with modern releases that have worse soundscapes than games from 20 years ago
You say you want that now but wait till you see Metal Gear, Castlevania and Silent Hill getting the Phil Spencer/MS treatment.MS should talk to Konami to license their dormant IPs. That's the scenario where gamers win the most, instead of acquisitions. Hell MS should buy Konami IPs. They can focus on casinos, hotels and pachinko.
Microsoft. The one video game publisher that can sit on a throne of studios and not have any idea on how to make games.Have a 1000 studio but release no games from them. You're simply the best.
You're telling me you gamed on PC in the 2000s but had 0 idea about EAX and it's death?I'll add that to my list of reasons to dislike MS.
In what universe has ms shown they can actually take those IPS and actually do justice do them?MS should talk to Konami to license their dormant IPs. That's the scenario where gamers win the most, instead of acquisitions. Hell MS should buy Konami IPs. They can focus on casinos, hotels and pachinko.
