I don’t think that’s the norm, but okay. Next gen only games running at 60fps hasn’t exactly been an expansive list.ummm it has been for 2 years on ps5 and series x

Yeah, and I totally understand that. I want it to be good for the folks looking forward to it. But I think I'm just gonna wait this one out for awhile. Especially after the impressions from last week, it all just sounds a little too bumpy for me.I feel like it’s been getting a bad rap. But underneath it all I feel like this game has something special, and it might just be a product of odd/weird marketing choices and how they show off the game.
Maybe I just really want it to be good. But I do love an underdog! It’s an open-world RPG with a huge city to explore and supposedly lots of mysteries to uncover. I am excited to at least see how the final product turns out.
It is.Most games I have played have had an option of 30/60
Fidelity or performance. I thought it was the norm as well.
“Most games” being…? Give me a good list of next gen exclusive games that offer 4k60 that proves it is the norm now. Most games I have played have had an option of 30/60

The 4k60 comes from the desire for the original game mentioned to reach that mark as a next gen only game. Obviously there are 30/60 options. Do people not understand context? He didn't say 4k at all. He said most games this gen have 30/60 options and he is correct. 4k/60 is not the norm for AAA this gen. DRS and 60fps has been the norm.
It doesn’t even look as good as Arkham knight did last Gen. What a dumpster fire.

It is. It has been since mid refresh of last gen and definitely 99% of games this gen. Most games I have played have had an option of 30/60

You don’t, because it was mentioned for the original game. Should probably clear it up for yourself by reading about the original game here.Do you? You asked questions about 4k when 4k wasn't mentioned. I was trying to clear that up for you.
I haven't tried it in coop yet, but many meh game are still pretty fun with a friend so... Would wait until it's cheaper, it's not terrible (a few hours in) but wouldn't get it full price.Ugh my friend reaaally wants me to get this cause its co op but it doesnt sound worth the money at all...
I can't really disagree with you here. I don't know what happened to this game during development but it's pretty obvious something went wrong. It's BEYOND odd This game's entire development period has been extremely odd. All of the latest impression videos weren't glowing either. A lot of them were fans of the Arkham series as well.
The whole thing just screams "mess" IMO. The visuals, the performance, the UI, etc. There's just a whole lot of weird following this project around.
This is not made by Rocksteady. It's the same team that made Arkham Origins. Rocksteady has been working on Suicide Squad.By the time they patch in the 60 fps no RT mode this game will be $20
Reminder that Rocksteady hasn’t shipped a game in 8 years
What proof do you need? The game at the moment is only 30 fps and there is no option to check for 60 fps. Reviews code have been out for a few days, reviews will be out late next week.i mean the devs have dodged the question...and the game looks average as hell so it wouldn't surprise me. But the source is a rando, non verified user on a forum full of morons sooo

Must resist the urge to tell you how silly you come across as.The 4k60 comes from the desire for the original game mentioned to reach that mark as a next gen only game. Obviously there are 30/60 options. Do people not understand context?
And it was for some time on previous gen as well.ummm it has been for 2 years on ps5 and series x
There's people in this thread seriously arguing that of all the games we've gotten this gen this cross gen looking stuff is the one that will push PS5/SX so hard they just can't run it at 60fps lowering the res a bit and disabling RT?
I blame those that want ray tracing, it's genuinely a buzz word for people I work with. You know why you console guys have 30fps.... Because of pixel counting wankers like digital foundry, and the moaning some of you cry babies do when one platform has less pixels than the other.
You bunch of sweats deserve it.
Again, 30fps is rare this gen. The overwhelming majority of games released have an option for 60fps. It is the norm. When other devs have 3 or 4 graphical settings, this dev appear very lazy. You know why you console guys have 30fps.... I think they are lazy bastards not including it but they are under pressure to get it out no doubt from the publishers.Again, 30fps is rare this gen. We'll see but I'm still hedging by bets on a lot of devs going with 30FPS. You have to consider that new engines are being made, a lot will prioritize graphics, a few studios may want to dive further into physics or AI tooI would consider this an exception. If the resolution is close to or native 4K, then 60 fps at lower resolutions should be no problem. I doubt this game bottlenecks the CPU or memory that hard to justify 30 fps at lower resolution. Expect a dynamic 1440p 60 fps patch down the line. These consoles are technically still really powerful with tons of tricks to enable 60 fps gameplay.
The original game mentioned is where the 4k comes from. That’s where the context lies. Again, it’s obvious there are options for most games now. Everyone knows that. It’s silly to even point that out at this juncture.Must resist the urge to tell you how silly you come across as.
You could've just said you misread the guy instead of doubling down.
The gentleman you felt the need to question, only said that 60fps had become the norm, he never mentioned 4k.
I think there is only a handful off games released on ps5/series X that do not feature a 60fps mode, medieval dynasty & the medium are two that I can think off at the top of my head.
The real tragedy here.It doesn’t even look as good as Arkham knight did last Gen. What a dumpster fire.
Oh yeah, I know it’s not native 4K 60“Most games” being…? Give me a good list of next gen exclusive games that offer 4k60 that proves it is the norm now.
It has multiplayer and many care.It does look like shit, thats not the point. It looks like shit however thats due to the devs being incompetent and quite frankly untalented. But my point is, it means that a push for 60fps would mean it would look even shittier. Not to mention the game would have been delayed also.
You guys will get your 60fps in 6 months or so. 60fps is an afterthought, as it should be. Its a cinematic single player game. Who cares
Arkham Knight top gotham knights bottom lol

People said the same thing back then about Arkham Knight....Didn't turn out so well. I wish you luck.PC it is then. 60+ FPS, DLSS, FSR, XeSS, probably better ray tracing. Cheaper too.
No brainer really.
