Kinda goes without saying, doesn't it? Anything entered into development prior to the deal by a major third party studio was likely planed for PS5, obviously.

Hopefully the CMA and FTC read this article as it directly proves the point that Microsoft is buying companies with the express purpose to remove access from other platforms. At this point only fools and fanboys believe Microsoft's claims that they have no intention of turning ABK properties into exclusives. You don't spend nearly 70 billion to acquire a company just to maintain the status quo.

Microsoft has a very long history of saying one thing and then doing something else. It's the same kind of behavior that got them in trouble during the Windows/Internet Explore late 90's era.
Yea, because a decision like this is base on an interview, which can be hyperbolized or not for click views. Come back to real world, please.

Of course it was. And so was Starfield, and TES VI etc.

All those plans got scrapped a long time ago by now though.

I’m not surprised this is the case but it just confuses me. Spencer said the goal of these acquisitions was to bring these games to more players. Why then cancel the version of the game (which was already in development) for the most popular next-gen platform?

Seems like either he’s confused or not telling the truth.

Still waiting for when MS said there would be no exclusive Bethesda titles?

Cause all I have is the exact opposite:
With the addition of the Bethesda creative teams, gamers should know that Xbox consoles, PC, and Game Pass will be the best place to experience new Bethesda games, including some new titles in the future that will be exclusive to Xbox and PC players.
Must be the other Phil Spencer I guess.

I find it funny that you praise them like they are doing the gamers a solid by removing the online-only requirements, which should not even be in there in the first place.
First time always online got announced I called it out and said it was shit. Seems they listened to everyone. The basics of effective persuasion is that you praise someone for moving to your position. If you're just shitting on them even after they do what you asked, why would anyone listen to your requests? Just illogical negativity at that point.

Next you'll tell me Starfield and ES would have been Multiplatform if not for the MS purchase...

Anyone telling you that would be making things up. There is no evidence to support that claim. In fact, Starfield wouldn't even exist if the purchase never happened. It has been developed only with MS money since the date of purchase. MS paid for it, so it would never have been on PS5. And why isn't anyone complaining about Spiderman 2 being PS5 only. Why is it ok for Sony to money hat that game?

I mean this goes without saying. Game has been in development for at least 4-5 years? The buyout was finalized pretty much exactly 2 years ago. Of course there was a PS5 version in development.

If anyone here was claiming that there was no PS5 version in development, why would you give them the time of day? Now if one of the big wigs were saying it then they look like a fucking assjack and maybe they shouldn’t be running their dick licker then.

"stop being poor" crutch is such a stupid argument for brand boys to make, because gaming is one of the cheapest hobbies one could have. If you can't afford a second gaming system then you can't afford to buy games for one system either.

Oh really? They were planning to ship on by far the most popular platform?

Who the hell would ever deny this?
0% chance they were ever going to ship it on Android. It was always just coming to the second most popular one called Windows, PS5 and Series X/S which are somewhere far behind Switch, iOS and their respective predecessors.
