I’m kind of shocked by how much these people think in terms of labels and categories. Like “This person MUST act X way because he is from Y neighborhood or it isn’t authentic.”
I have a young daughter, when we play games there have been multiple times when she’s said something like “I want to play that character, she looks like me!” And she gets very excited about it. I totally understand why representation is important and that having 90% white male characters for the first few decades of gaming needed to change. However, this sort of thing that the race/sex/whatever of a character needs to define them and be pointed out explicitly is so weird to me. Can’t they just be what they are and get on with the game (assuming that isn’t an important part of the story).

I'm a man with a mixed Spanish-East Asian background and I dislike certain DEI implementations. Woke's minority argument is flawed when national borders are removed. Progressives are not consistent with national borders.

Insomniac cant even get their Asian DEI representation right. They used all Koreans, which doesn't even make sense since not only does the world have tons of Asians, but even if they solely focued on the US Asian racial split, US census polls show this (I copied only the top Asian backgrounds, but the Wiki chart on the right margin has tons more).
Their DEI crusade didn't even include Indian, Chinese, Filipino or Vietnamese which are all more than the US Korean population.
I guess Insomniac and their DEI experts think Koreans represent all Indian and East Asians.

The same employees who are loud on Twitter and mix their home life politics with work. I must be out of the loop because I thought the typical worker wants to keep home and work separate so people dont feel pressured to always be juggling work outside of office hours, or hate bringing their personal life to work.
But just another example of a video game studio comprised of mostly coders and artsy visual effect designers thinking they are god's gift to fatherly and political advice to the masses.
Who knew tech industry workers were so much smarter than the rest of us.
Maybe when the holidays are over and I'm back to work, I'll ask the CEO if we should do Twitter videos on Canadian immigration or tariff policies.

Some people say just cause a story has dragons, it isn't trying to be realistic and anything goes. I’ve been at other places where it’s impossible to have a normal conversation, where I’ve received so many warnings for so minor reasons where people were trying to trick you into witchhunt traps to remove you from the board to then celebrate it. Inclusivity should go both ways. Can’t expect everyone on the planet from every culture and with every upbringing to be the same or erase them if they rather stay the way they are.

GTA6 trailer was fine, its miami, tons of ppl of different races than white there.

Our only hope is- gta6 needs to make tons of cash to make decent profit from its supposedly 2bil usd budget, hopefully ppl at the top in rockstar are fully aware game has to have high quality, and the crowd who plays gta6 arent feminazis and their male lapdogs who's main lifepurpose is to get outraged on twitter and overall across the net.
Game has to sell to the crowd that previous parts in the series sold to- aka it has to be good, instead of woke , if it sells even 50% less vs gta5's 190m copies- thats huge mountain of cash down the drain, and it will definitely hurt rockstart a lot
