1.
Pokemon Red ; This is a game (Along with Pokemon Blue) that started the whole pokemon pokemon craze. The whole collect-em-all catchphrase tells why this game is so addicting for me. If it weren't for this game (again, along with Pokemon Blue) we wouldn't have the other amazing follow-ups, which it why I chose it as number 1.
2.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening ; The best Zelda game ever released. It's charming, challenging, and has the best overworld and dungeons, music, and characters of any Zelda game. The only thing it was missing was Princess Zelda herself (who I think shines brightest in both Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword).
3.
Super Smash Bros. Melee ; It was very hard to choose between this and Brawl, but Melee has provided me with years of joy. It's also more lighthearted than Brawl (aside from Brawl's tripping which I always laugh at) and not as "dark". Though I prefer playing Brawl today because of the "weight". Melee took everything I loved about Smash Bros. 64 and tripled the fun.
4.
Animal Crossing Wild World ; Some may argue that the Gamecube version is superior, but the portable aspect is enough for me to choose Wild World over all others. It also sports slightly improved graphics and amazing music. When I just want to chill I whip this game out and take a stroll around town (and pull weeds).
5.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask ; The second greatest Zelda game ever created. The atmosphere of impending doom, the challenging dungeons, the power-packed-ness of the whole world... Not to mention one of the best villains ever to be written ever! The game is a great example of a non-traditional Zelda game.
6.
Metroid Prime ; While I prefer talking Samus, there's no denying the epicness of her first 3D adventure. The mood, music, and difficulty were perfect, and the boss fights were amazing! Not to mention the world was pretty to look at.
7.
Donkey Kong Country Returns ; Impressive graphically and has a good "rhythm" to it. Those whining about it being about luck just sucked at it (

).
8.
Kirby's Super Star ; Yes, the DS version added and improved a lot thing about the SNES version. But it was the multiplayer element that made me love the game from the get go, and it's harder to link up when each player needs his/her own copy of the game on top of a seperate DS system. So that never happened for me.

Anyway, Kirby's Super Star is like eight Kirby games in one, each with their own unique quirk. Love it!
9.
Kirby Canvas Curse ; This game was my first DS game, and boy I'm glad it was because it made that $200 something purchase completely worth it!
10.
Rhythm Heaven ; There's no rhythm game better than rhythm heaven. None!
