When will Sony ever learn..? This console is going to cost a small fortune with 8GB of GDDR5, and unless densities have changed we're looking at 32 x chips squeezed onto the motherboard. Should have gone for DDR3 instead. The console is going to be huge with a fan sounding like a 747 lol.
The PS3 and Vita had terrible launch sales because they were too expensive and I can't see the PS4 being any different unfortunately.

For my it was kind of boring, Sony needs to make something more dynamic, every time it's the same.
Hoped to see more of the console and the OS, and other games.
One key thing that I think people didn't hightligh enough it's the ability for self publication on the system. It's a big step forward for indie development. And the Witness proved that small teams can deliver quite nice things into the console without to much trouble. I like it.

Great conference for me.
Outside of KZ none if the games were really impressive outside of anything but concept. They were all clearly very early.
However, this conference was to see what Sonys vision was for the future. The specs, Gaikai, os and the controller were great surprises and made me really excited for the future.
Plus none of these games were developed with 8 GB of GDDR5 in mind.

While there is still much for information to be released in the coming months I am just extremely relieved that everyone can now talk about next generation without being so secretive. Developers/publishers can announce titles, retailers can list titles, and specs are set and known. We can finally move onto other stuff.

Hopefully a HD download is available soon. That live stream kept crapping out on me in the worst way. I'd like to watch a better version of the gameplay footage, especially Killzone.

another thing as far as OS goes that i hope E3 will talk more about the in-game UI and will i be limited to what i can search. needs full access to browser and changing system setting.

I don't necessarily care that they didn't.. I think there's a strategic reason not to at this point, as this basically allowed them to get most of the cat out of the bag without having to share the front page with Microsoft at E3, but with that said, I am a bit puzzled.

Rofl, the major nelson argument. What's it matter what the thing looks like? They revealed the specs and showed footage, that's already a good amount. if anything, these type of people should bitch about no price reveal. cause this thing might end up being a repeat of the $599 US DOLLARS event.

So because they didn't show the plastic shell they didn't "show the ps4"? They showed plenty of actual ps4 games and user interface. I don't know why people are needing to see the plastic shell to feel validated in any way.
