Reboot The Game: The Movie Reboot.

Tomb Raider sure is a top 3 IP when it comes to rebooting.

Put Lily James back in that tit suit she wore for Pam & Tommy and dye her hair brown.

I think Lara Croft deserves a really serious and down to earth story. Like imagine she is an accountant in a big London corporation and has to fight for her right not to follow dress code, so she doesn't have to wear heeled shoes in the office. Thrilling stuff, I'm sure you will agree, and a far more realistic representation of the sort of heroic struggles real women face than the absurd male fantasy of the "busty tomb raider". A concept which is deeply problematic at every level.

I googled her and apparently she had (or have) a fling with Richard Croft from Alicia Vikander’s Tomb Raider, Dominic West. So the connection is there!

I agree. We will need another video game reboot before then so that we can move on from the Lara of the past decade.

To be fair I think even the concept has a lot of potential even without the brand. Treasure Hunter films are always good flicks that can become very popular, there just need to focus on that aspect instead of the survivor bullcrap they pulled with reboot. Lara needs to be a badass, not a vulnerable girl

And they can start production of a new movie collaboratively with the game's studio, exchanging information so they follow a similar formula and then release cloth at an approximate window.

I'd like to see a 70 year old Lara Croft. At least if I'm watching a video game movie, I get to laugh at how luda that is.

She didn’t look or act like her, just a random brunette with a bow.

I mean she was really hot but yeah did not have any charisma and was probably chosen because she was most similar to the rebooted Lara. Imo no one they choose will be better than peak Angie Jolie.

Lol I haven't seen a movie of hers in a while. I'll take your word for it. But I meant more in terms of looks, the OG tomb raider was 21 years ago (!) and she was fine as hell back then.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Why is this good news? I thought the actress that played Lara croft was fine. The movie was certainly better than the Angelina Jolie films.

I don't know that there is a market for another tomb raiser film anyway. Tomb raider has lost a ton of relevance, even though the last game wasn't too long ago.
What’s sad is that they games have actually been fairly decent. Just for whatever reason the sales never aligned with expectations.

How about we just avoid your typical by-the-numbers action flick and instead we get a road trip movie where Low-Poly Lara, Boulder-Punching Chris Redfield, and Ugly Sonic venture to Hollywood so that they can pitch their new Tomb Raider reboot movie to a group of out-of-touch big wig producers. Along the way, the meet up with a hitchhiking John Linneman who starts documenting their travels for a very special episode of DF Retro.

The original Lara wasn't ever supposed to be hot or pretty, she was just badass.

It wasn't until Angelina Jolie played the role in an action movie that she became a sex symbol.
Yeah that's just, not true at all lol. Did you grow up in the 90s by any chance?

She was meant to be badass but she was most definitely presented as a sex symbol as well.
