Chilean woman are hot, like this volcano.

On a serious note, those are amazing pictures. Insane. Nature is just having a ruckus of a time as of late...tsunamis, earthquakes, tornadoes, and now volcanoes.

Is like they dropped a nuke!

The pictures are basically enough to justify the statement "decent story".

Wow.

Had no idea there was such a phenomenon as lightning forming as a volcon bursts. Huh. Cool. Guess I haven't seen enough eruptions to know about it.

I can't believe I live on the same planet that all this is taking place. Earth, you CRAZY!

I can't believe I live in the same damn COUNTRY that all this is taking place. And no, nothing's happening here in Santiago: the volcano emergency is like 1000 kms to the south. Anyway, my heart goes to my fellow countrymen, and I hope this isn't like the Chaitén eruption some years ago [just a reminder: a whole town was lost thanks to that eruption and thousands of people had to be relocated in other nearby towns]

Was just in Chile last week, and climbed an 18,500-foot volcano there as well, although I was further north in the Atacama Desert. Beautiful, beautiful country. Definitely recommend a visit.

Great photos here!

In older days when people were ignorant and without scientific knowledge, all of this must have really terrified them.

I lived in Chile about 9 years ago but never saw an eruption. This volcano is a few hours north of where i was. There was a volcano that was always smoking but it never erupted.
