isn't it 42GB?
Ok....but if this becomes a trend then PS5 could conceivably have the same number of games installed as XSX and have more free space. So you are going to need that expandable storage sooner on XSX than PS5.
For three milliseconds....
Trend continues.Graphics: all same
Color gamma is dark on PS5.
Both have drops to low 50fps in different scenes in 60fps mode.
Series X has a issue with framepace with UI elements and in standard traversal.
Photo Mode allow to unlock the 30fps in RT Mode that shows that both runs way over 30fps but not enough for locked 60fps.
Overall: PS5 has the best experience on consoles.
No idea, but the Series S files will be something regardless.Do they share the same textures and junk between versions? Is the only difference the settings?
That is actually not possible. The obvious answer despite all the armchair compression engineers in the other thread is that the Xbox file contains the Series S version as well.
The Xbox version contains the files for two versions and I'd rather have the option for expandable storage than a smaller SDD with no option to expand it.
That is actually not possible.
Round it up to 69% larger, its a better number.25GB vs 42GB.
Being accurate around 68%.
Bingo. USB storage is cheap as shit.
It is made up bullshit.
Hahaha! It's because he's got no comback so he uses the emojino unfortunately.
I did make a post clearly showing how he was completely contradicting himself, which he ignored. The best he mustered on my last one, was the triggered emoji.
Well maybe watch the video before commenting then?.. They clearly talk about the xbox dropping more frames and the stutter. Shame they don't put that into words properly, must be the bias again.
Yes because I take my expandable storage between three consoles, it's nice when your console can do that.
Proof? Are you just spreading some nonsense that one person made up at Beyond3D?The obvious answer despite all the armchair compression engineers in the other thread is that the Xbox file contains the Series S version as well.

PC has the same size.
PS4/Pro a bit lower due the different package.
All of them have similar size.
And I won’t even enter in the point that to have both version the size should be 80GB.
Only PS5 has smaller size.
Why would that be bad? I mean, the only issue is that among those who thought that the series x would CRUSH AND ANIHILATE the competition there was also a paternal attitude where they felt they were right, arguing about the validity of any of their "factual claims" was received with essentially aggressive responses.
When you are wrong you are wrong, the least some could do is at least let go of the smugness.
Pretty annoying, so is the PS5 pretty well balanced system or the series x somehow underperforming? both and neither depending how you look at it, they perform as they should, within the margin of error in most situations and there is no functional difference between the two. Why should any sane person be upset about this? You could be happy or not care too much, if anything it will force MS to up their game as far as games are concerned.
Give him time to visit Dealer and Timdog and do some googling(in his case bing) to get a retortOk....but if this becomes a trend then PS5 could conceivably have the same number of games installed as XSX and have more free space. PS4, XBX, PC, XSX - all in the same ballpark file size, 40-50GB
PS5 - 25GB
Conclusion? XSX version contains XBO version, so 90+GB? No, just the same ~45GB? Ok, new theory, the PS5 version has extra/different compression.
Yeap... because it is the same version with different profiles. What's bullshit? The Xbox file runs on both Series S and X.
That how all series S/X games work, there is always one file. The differences are in settings, not data. PC games don't download different files based on graphics settings (beyond texture packs, which are rare). What's bullshit? The Xbox file runs on both Series S and X.
think you need to do maths again lol25GB vs 42GB.
Being accurate around 68%.
That is exactly how it work for Xbox Series games. The proof is that if you download the file you can take it on the expandable storage and just play it on Series S, like I did not ten minutes ago.

Round it up to 69% larger, its a better number.
(And 39% smaller).
I think he's talking about the $230 SSD expansion. I am not sure if you can play Series X games from standard external drives.
Nope... around 68%.think you need to do maths again lol
That is exactly how it work for Xbox Series games.
Maybe it is a new thing for you.
It's beyond his understanding because his precious has lost out in compression........ You might as well argue with a brickwall and get more success!Yeap... because it is the same version with different profiles.
You know PS4 and PS4 Pro runs the same game.
Ohhhhh Xbox One and Xbox One X the same game.
So why are other games mostly similar sizes between PS5 versions and Series versions? There is no 2 versions of PS5 for other games why would there be for Series X/S?The proof is that if you download the file you can take it on the expandable storage and just play it on Series S, like I did not ten minutes ago.

Still got it wrong try again as it isn’t 42gb bigger lolNope... around 68%.
25 + 68% = 42
Like I said “over 50% difference between files sizes”.
MS expert alert........think you need to do maths again lol
The proof is that if you download the file you can take it on the expandable storage and just play it on Series S, like I did not ten minutes ago.
The ones that uses smart delivery and download the high quality texture on Series X.No it isn't because some Series S and X games are different sizes.
42GB is the size of the game, that's 68% larger than 25(.79)GB.Still got it wrong try again as it isn’t 42gb bigger lol
Agreed. By far the most interesting thing to come out of the Control console war, yet DF didn't highlight it, nor are asking questions as to why? The same game is literally almost double the size on SX?^^ that is the biggest difference between them, the install size lol and for some reason everyone is ignoring it. It is better compression on PS5 it seems but how come only this game is using it ? Just for curisoity sake would like to know the install size on SS.
Wut?Still got it wrong try again as it isn’t 42gb bigger lol
Lol think you better check my post historyMS expert alert........
No thats not true lol.Really? That's the reason for the larger install? Is that fact or speculation?
It may include Series S versionThat's not proof. My PC has the exact same install size.
It is the usual FUD!Really? That's the reason for the larger install? Is that fact or speculation?
The PS4 Pro had 4.2 tflops. X1X had 6 tflops.think you need to do maths again lol
There is no compression on the Xbox version. It's the same as the PC version apparently. It's beyond his understanding because his precious has lost out in compression........ You might as well argue with a brickwall and get more success!
That is probably the best assumption. There is no compression on the Xbox version. It's the same as the PC version apparently.
Series S - so much for 1440pCrushed blacks on PS5 VS. Stuttering on Series X. Series S runs at 900p. So much for the same settings but 1440p console... Lol.
Velocity Architecture is just a "marketing gag" to calm down the fans.We already have sufficient material to start to understand the differences between the systems.
While the SeX is "stronger" it does indeed have more little bottlenecks than the PS5, and it should be clear already that the PS5's GPU actually have a small advantage on displaying pixels/transparencies.
What it's curious for me is the IO system.
The PS5's is being underutilized but at least is not causing problems like the SeX's. I don't understand why the Velocity Architecture is failing a little bit.
What? None at all? Seems strange. There is no compression on the Xbox version. It's the same as the PC version apparently.
yet, the only time I saw DF mentioning the winner in the title of the movie was with Series X being in the leadOverall: PS5 has the best experience on consoles.
They won't patch the GPU related drops on XSX, only the allegedly streaming related drops. Those drops (the GPU ones) are more severe than on PS5. We'll see if the devs can patch those I/O drops on XSX.So both games are in "wait for patch" mode, otherwise they're identical. Easy win for the VRR capable console once both versions are patched.
