I watched the Giant Bomb one that came out a few days ago. Based on that video I would agree in your assessment, I thought the first game was good but not great and I cannot generate any excitement to buy this game day 1 at full price. This just seems like more of the same exact stuff and I cannot generate any ounce of desire to play this.Which videos?

I'm only concerned with knowing if the games pacing will bore me like HZD did. Bought it day and date on PS4...couldn't bring myself to finish it until it came out on PC.
The story was just not interesting to me. I'm wondering if that has been approved. The graphics upgrade and 3d audio improvements were pretty much a given, and I'm happy to have them, but I want to stay engaged from start to finish with this. Is the gameplay loop largely the same as HZD?

You guys may find it silly but it really bothers me how Aloy's hair clips through her gear. I was watching ACG's walking the walk right now and I couldn't stop noticing that her hair, while wonderfully animated, kept moving through the bow on her back.
Maybe GG should give her a shorter haircut.

Another thing that I dislike is when a character is wearing metal armor and the armor bends like it's made of rubber.

After watching about 6 different quests from the first 4hrs of the game, they seem to consist of mainly combat like the last game.
Pretty disappointing for me, I was hoping for more activity variety in the quests.
Oh well, nothing wrong with not liking all games.
For those who do like these combat focused quests, enjoy! It certainly looks beautiful

I like when the vicar dude got drunk and you had to go find him, finding lenny at the bar, the hot air ballow rides, collecting debts, preperation for hiests like setting up explosive, infiltraiting a high class poker games and playeing poker on a boat, scouting new camp locations, transporting the camp, finding new home and work for your family, job duties on the farm, escaping captivity with nothing but your fists, tracking and hunting a grizzly plus many more that I cant think of from the top of my head.

From what I've played of Horizon 2 it's gameplay is much improved. I'm very happy with the game so far. Only bummer is that the 60 fps mode isn't sharper looking so I'm playing at 30 fps.

It's a sequel and it's improved in almost every way. So if you can't generate excitement that's more on you (it's probably just not your thing) than the game.
Most sequels I've played these days don't improve on this many things.

I watched my friend who is a reviewer play for a few hours. The graphics are great, but everything else is so shit, especially the characters. But I must say that I rarely like western games. My February games are KoF 15 and Elden Ring. A Western piece of shit overrated by paid and fanboy sites.

Oke, what ever rocks your boatI like John the most out of the three stooges, but fucking hell he goes all out sometimes. He got Naughty Dog to downgrade the native 4k 60 fps PS4 Pro version of TLOU remaster to 1800p just because it dropped a few frames during action. He shat on the 60 fps mode in GOW on the Pro because it dropped some frames. Told everyone to use the 30 fps mode instead. NX Gamer did the same analysis and found that the 60 fps mode averaged 56 fps in combat. This is the same guy who was given a tag 60 fps by gaf mods telling people to play the game in 30 fps because it wasnt locked at 60. How 30 fps is better than 56 average is beyond me. I played over a 100 hours of end game content in GOW in the 60 fps mode and never felt the framerate was bad.
Who cares if it doesnt look realistic. Movies go through extreme lengths to light the characters even in outdoor areas to ensure they look their best.
Shouldve stuck with their first choice.

I just seen the game was review bombed as far as user score goes. Then I went and looked and it seems lots or first party games on both sides are having the same thing happen.
Metacritic should have sorted this out when it happened to TLOU. It makes the user score completely useless to anyone who wants to look at it.
There is a Funny Twitter thread looking into some of the people leaving scores:
