is it exclusive though?Still have diarrhea. But I don't think it's related.
Aww. That's cute. Lemme guess; you're one of those low key Sony fanboys who own all the systems and a beastly PC, am I right?Dude it's from as big of an Xbox fanboy as yourself. You knew he was.
The day it goes exclusive you get guarantee whatever the last COD released on Playstation will have the highest userbase for next few COD'sOr they’ll find a new game to play or just keep playing MW22 on PS and take that iw game and run.
Maybe. But then we get to hear about the long game they’re playing and 4d chess and that’s always good for a laugh. The day it goes exclusive you get guarantee whatever the last COD released on Playstation will have the highest userbase for next few COD's
Monopoly has been tossed out more often than an 80 year old hooker round here.

Who knows, they might continue playing CoD on PS devices via the then-newly-released Game Pass app on PS4/5
Why would PS remain the most popular platform for COD when PS will not be getting those games soon? It's common sense!Link? Or just more out of your ass ASSumptions?
Microsoft going multiplatform confirmed!!Who knows, they might continue playing CoD on PS devices via the then-newly-released Game Pass app on PS4/5
Microsoft going multiplatform confirmed!!
What's this mean? Why is it relevant to anything in the thread?
Day 6. How we all doing today?
haha I love these hilarious takes, people are so convinced they need to try and convince others nowAlready ppl are buying an Xbox instead of a ps5 due to cod going exclusive to Xbox.
Exactly, outside of our small buble casuals have no idea about the acquisitions or who Activision is. They would only notice once there's a new COD that is not releasing on PS5 and even then, most of them will stick to Warzone or look for other alternatives available on PS5 first.haha I love these hilarious takes, people are so convinced they need to try and convince others now
please provide a source for this sudden surge in Xbox purchases lol, it’s been a few days since the announcement.
I have video evidence of him interacting with his source:haha I love these hilarious takes, people are so convinced they need to try and convince others now

Everyone that plays games casual or not knows who activision is.This news already sparked conversations at work amongst casuals. Lucky for MS a lot of people didn’t grab a ps5 already. Now the casual late have time to switchExactly, outside of our small buble casuals have no idea about the acquisitions or who Activision is. Lol exaclty, and cods sales have slowed down - I believe a month later after release around December they were doing a free weekend trial for vanguards MP (not sure about the story mode). That’s normally unheard off.. Warzone is what the majority of players play now, its free obviously but It feels like the audience doesn’t really play traditional MP as much.Exactly, outside of our small buble casuals have no idea about the acquisitions or who Activision is. COD sales have slowed down because the last 2 have been objectively worse than the one before and still are among best selling games in any given year. Cold war also had a free weekend around the same time I believe.Lol exaclty, and cods sales have slowed down - I believe a month later after release around December they were doing a free weekend trial for vanguards MP (not sure about the story mode). Remember you said this when COD is yet again the highest selling (or second to an EA sports game) game of 2022 on every platform it releases on. Vanguard was despite what you just said.Lol exaclty, and cods sales have slowed down - I believe a month later after release around December they were doing a free weekend trial for vanguards MP (not sure about the story mode). I actually don’t think putting COD on Gamepass is the best idea, especially on day one. COD is way too big of a franchise to put on a subscription service. That would be huge for Gamepass, but I don’t think it’s necessary or makes sense financially. Most people will happily pay $70 to play a new COD every year or so.Even if they do, $60+ dollar CoD for PlayStation vs day one Gamepass on Xbox is a nice incentive to bring people over.
Day 6. How we all doing today?
the "it's too good to be true" value purpose is the entire point of gamepass...all first party ms games so ffar had a day one gamepass release, even with big releases like the new halo, forza or gearsI actually don’t think putting COD on Gamepass is the best idea, especially on day one. They probably would make much more money selling COD as opposed to cheap Gamepass subscriptions. Gamepass is generally more suited to games that are less popular, indie, niche or older. It’s like throwing Spider-Man 2 on PS plus or Spartacus day one.
There's also the fact that a subscription is far more valuable to MS than a single $70 purchase.the "it's too good to be true" value purpose is the entire point of gamepass...all first party ms games so ffar had a day one gamepass release, even with big releases like the new halo, forza or gears
True, but COD is more popular and sells more than all those Microsoft games combined times 5. It would be a huge get for Gamepass definitely, but financially they will probably bleed money for quite awhile. After spending almost $70 billion, I’m wondering if that’s the best strategy for them.the "it's too good to be true" value purpose is the entire point of gamepass...all first party ms games so ffar had a day one gamepass release, even with big releases like the new halo, forza or gears
As i said it's pretty obvious which way this will go, but some just refuse to believe that Microsoft will make COD an exclusive title, guess they care more about the franchise than they like to admit. You only need to look at what they've done so far and you've got your answer.
Psychonauts 2, not part of an existing agreement, not on PS5(native).
Starfield, not part of an existing agreement also not coming to PS4/5
ESVI not part of an existing agreement, confirmed not coming to PS5.
Redfall not part of an existing agreement, confirmed not coming to PS4/5.
This years COD and possibly the next will depending on agreements and thats it.
Blizzard games? can't see any of them releasing outside the xbox platform going forward, except maybe OW2.
Existing live service games, ESO, FO76 warzone (until they make 2.0) etc stick around, everything else? Forget about it.
Minecraft and spin offs come out on all platforms because that was part of the contract when they bought mojang.
But what about all that money they are leaving on the table amirite?
Think that covers it.
I think Diablo IV may have been signed on for all current platforms. It was announced like 3 years ago from today if I'm not mistaken. You only need to look at what they've done so far and you've got your answer.

Doesn't matter if it was announced for a platform. Unless they have some sort of deal in place or its coming in the next 12 months forget about it. Think Starfield was announced for all platforms back in the day? It was definitely in development at some point for Playstation.I think Diablo IV may have been signed on for all current platforms. It was announced like 3 years ago from today if I'm not mistaken.
Did they mention any platforms around the announcement period ?
All Microsoft first party games launch on game pass. All of them. COD will too. That’s the whole point - to get people on game pass.I actually don’t think putting COD on Gamepass is the best idea, especially on day one. Games don’t “sign on” for platforms. Unless Acti/Bliz signed a timed exclusivity contract with Sony for Diablo 4, the fact alone that it was going to release on PS5 doesn’t mean anything. The PS5 version could be complete and they would still cancel it unless contractually obligated to release it.I think Diablo IV may have been signed on for all current platforms. At least there is one other person on this forum with some sense. All Microsoft first party games launch on game pass. All of them. COD will too. That’s the whole point - to get people on game pass.
It seems that lots of people here don’t u set stand how big and rich Microsoft is. They don’t care about a piddly $500mil a year revenue from game sales. They care about getting recurring revenue 10x that per month. They do that by making it an irresistible offer, and they do that by launching games like COD on it.

Intention to release a game doesn’t mean you are contractually obligated to release said game.
Obviously the next COD will, Overwatch 2 is rumored to be tied to the original game so yeah. Diablo, if its coming before next summer then yeah your correct again, bet you gamble on 1 horse races as well.Quote me on this. The next COD, Diablo 4, and Overwatch 2 will all be released on the Playstation platform. These are multiplayer games that generate constant income monthly. Microsoft doesn't care about which box you prefer. Ultimately, they're in this business to make money.

The leaked marketing deal document Sony had with RE Village mandated that in addition to release the game on PS -full featured and day one-, it can't be included on any non-Sony game subscription during a year starting to count from the game release, and after this year 4 months more if Sony wants to negotiate to include it or not on Sony's subscription, having Sony the exclusivity of first and last negotiation. Plus Sony also got exclusivity for hardware bundles of the game and any other sequel, prequel, spinoff, collection or vr version.Who knows, they might continue playing CoD on PS devices via the then-newly-released Game Pass app on PS4/5
Day 6. How we all doing today?
You're comparing a franchise that has always been synonymous with the Xbox brand. Not sorry, are you retarded?Did Microsoft release Halo Infinite MP on PS5? It's a free multiplayer game that generates constant income monthly.
The money it makes is still peanuts to MS.I can believe it, the IP just does too well not to. Although Xbox is obviously going to get the timed DLC back, or maybe they scrap that idea?
Funny since Xbox consoles were basically impossible to find before this news and PS5s are still equally impossible to find after this news.Already ppl are buying an Xbox instead of a ps5 due to cod going exclusive to Xbox. It'll have a big impact
The poster said those games will come to playstation, as they generate loads of money and Microsoft doesnt care what platform you play on. If that was the case they'd stick Halo on PlayStation. To make more money. You're comparing a franchise that has always been synonymous with the Xbox brand. Not sorry, are you retarded?
He and certain others do much of that lol
That is not how he worded it.But its in the context of players who play cod the vast majority of there time.
In that context its completely valid.
You choose not to include the context and therefore misrepresenting what he said.
Good point the mobile market is huge.**cough, cough...mobile...cough, cough**.... people forget King is part of this. I think King is actually a big part of why MS decided to move on this
Halo isn't close to as big of a franchise as COD.The poster said those games will come to playstation, as they generate loads of money and Microsoft doesnt care what platform you play on. If that was the case they'd stick Halo on PlayStation. To make more money.
Theres more to this than just money that his whole point.
its not hard to understand, are you retarded?
Thats not what we where talking about, like at all.Halo isn't close to as big of a franchise as COD.
I think in NA that Gears would be a bigger money than Halo if it went multiplatform though.
No, you don't understand. MS bought Activision so that they could continue to release it as a multiplatform and "recoup" the money they spent. Makes perfect sense! You don't just leave all that money on the table! Call of Duty must be on the Playstation, or else Activision and MS will go out of business! The money it makes is still peanuts to MS.
They only bought this shit to make Gamepass stronger. As soon as the contracts go so does COD.
You said if it was about money they would stick Halo on PlayStation.Thats not what we where talking about, like at all.
