Halo 5 sales are just poor. Is not a flop, but that is.

It sold only a bit more ( OR LESS! ) than Titanfall for XB1, and less than Destiny for XB1.
This with a way, WAY bigger userbase...

I'm sure they will give us the number of live users that signed in on halo 5 launch, I heard those numbers are more relevant.

I don't know.
Titanfall for XB1 has sold some like 125,000 first week if i'm not wrong.
We know Halo 5 is between 120,000 and 157,000... Yeah, seem likely Titanfall XB1+360 has sold more.

That's brutal.

they won't give us any numbers. probably go for WW stats before US NPD in a week and that probably give us an amazing looking infograph matches, and how many shots were fired and how fast in xx seconds. and who is picking what and whanot

We know it's 150k for Halo 5, almost to the dot. no speculation needed for that (minus the almighty digital, holy shit have you guys been following the Halo 5 UK sales thread?)

Huh? We know it sold 50% more than MCC, and we know MCC is BETWEEN 80,000 and 105,000...
How you is 150k? It's between 120,000 and 157,500. And let's say the digital sales are 30% of the total sales ( but this is impossible )...

With 157,500 max, we have 225,000. Wihch mean is still one of the worst Halo game in the term of sales.

Because it sold 50% more than AC: Syndicate, which we know was 100k. Meaning we retroactively have exact week 1 MCC numbers as well at 100k.

We know it sold 50% more than Syndicate, and we got the actual numbers for Syndicate at 100k last week.
Regarding MCC we had it at between 80k and 105k, but with todays info, we know MCC was 100k on first week.

Was not AC syndacate at 100k just a estimate? It can be over 100k, or maybe less...

IDK, i may be wrong. but yeah, if Syndacate sold confirmed 100k, Halo 5 is at 150k.

Kyonashi, out of curiosity do you have a ballpark for First/second week of The Order: 1886? Checking back on week 8 PAL Charts, estimates were 26-47k for first week. About the right ballpark? Could you narrow that number down a bit?

The later estimates where from Bruno MB (Thanks as always for these threads btw).

Halo was a launch title for Xbox. Xbox sold 48,000 first week, and Chart-Track later said that Halo had a 86% attach rate, although I'm not sure if that was first week or LTD. Microsoft said about UK first week sales "Anecdotal feedback from accounts is that Halo is attaching 85 percent", which is inline with Chart-Track's figure. So probably 41,000 (100%) for Halo - Combat Evolved.

Building a new and successful IP is no easy task even for titles that have a full support of the console maker behind them.

As for Halo, the series has clearly burnt out. MSFT needs something new and fresh to carry the torch.

If Halo wasn't 1st in Germany, I would've said that I'm not surprised. But now that I look at the list... Wrestling is less popular than XBO and there are a lot of 360 owners who are familiar with Halo. FIFA is out for a few weeks and Syndicate a low selling AC.
So it's fine, I prefer good games like Halo 5 to sell well.

Germany is the last western country where Nintendo has success :) I contributed with Project Zero (how we call it^^) on day one. Nr.14 is great for a limited edition only release.
