Should I be concerned that 3DMark told me that my score is low compared to similar systems? Is it because it doesn't recognize my video drivers? :(

Your score is P3496, their target goal for your hardware was 3500. Probably not something I'd worry about.

Here's my last update for the night. I changed my RAM to reflect 1600mhz (thanks Johnny2Bags), and it's showing correct as 800mhz in CPU-Z, however 3DMark still shows it as 600ishmhz. It must have taken affect because my score jumped into the 12k's :shrug

My RAM shows up as 667 on 3DMark as well, while everything else says it's 800.

Ok cool. When I went into CPU it did say 667 mhz though. Now it says 800 after I changed it.

Haha... I've had a run where I scored 9088 when I overclocked my CPU to 4.2 as well... crazy huh! It's not 100% stable though so I don't run it at that rev's. I am going to run another time through in a moment to see what I'm getting right now.

Do we all agree that 5970, 6990 and 590's should be counted as SLI? Any Dual GPU cards?

Shouldn't physx be off for NVIDIA cards? That's what we did on another forum because it was unfair or something.

I don't think so, it's a feature of those cards, and it's not really about being 'absolute number one' someone who owns 6970 knows that a 580 is probably going to score higher than it, but it's all about scoring highest in your category.

If you're running stock speeds on GPU or CPU that would be why. All the "average" scores are decent overclocks.

Some very interesting results from what I can see personally, and some relatively close an varied results as wlel.

MrBoogie, the 6850 is more like the 5770 than the 5850 from what I understand, for you - I'd be happy with it only beating you by 200 points, that's a good score you got IMO.

Heh. Actually my mem is 1600, I made a typo.

Obviously the 580 is a fast card- funny how just 2 of them are about as fast as 3 2GB 6950s modded to a 6970. It could also be that Nvidia's drivers are better optimized (especially for 3DMark11), or the extra 1GB. Probably a combination of both. Although I've seen people with 3 6950s with much higher 3DMark11 scores than mine.

Considering I only spent ~$700 for 3 6950s I think it was a fairly solid investment.

Nah, almost all 6950's should reach that imo.
1000MHz is where it thins out.

Spanking 590 owners feels good.

I'd feel better if I had a stronger single card though.

I've had 3 69xx cards, one could barely push 875 (MSI 6950) and a CrossFireX setup of two Diamond MM 6970s - they maxed out at 950.

So yeah, anecdotal..but I am not so sure about "almost all".

What voltages did you give them? 1.075V or 1.100V I can see that, but not up to 1.200 I would think.

1.175v on the 6970s that maxed at 950. I don't recall on the 6950. It was back in March and I ditched it pretty quickly for a single 580. The 6950 was a reference card that would not unlock to a 6970. I had to use an ASUS BIOS with 6950 speeds and 6970 shaders. It was a pretty bunk card. I just got unlucky with that guy. But my Diamond 6970s (reference models, too) were great. They just couldn't hang beyond 950...at least together. Maybe one of them was golden.

Hmm. Both of my POWERCOLORs did 950/1350 at 1.175 for 3DMARK11. Haven't gamed on anything higher than 880 though since... I've just left them there. Haven't felt any drive for messing with them.
Another thing to do is enable Overdrive +20%.

Maybe your 580's can get to 950Mhz :p

I am sure they can. I haven't even messed with voltages on my 580s, yet. :) I just wanted 120 fps / 120 hz / vsync in BlOps and I achieved that. Perhaps this thread will give me the kick in the ass to start further OCing the 580s. It's funny, if I push them to 880...crash city. But they are rock solid at 875.

Can't unlock shaders on mine, and yes.
Next is tinkering to 4.8Ghz, ram to 1666 or 1866, GPU to 1000Mhz.
That should break 10k. Get me in top 15 for this card setup for stock cooling. Rest comes down to murdering my CPU.

My Graphics score was 4445 which is pretty good, but my CPU was 2900 and combined was 2400. My CPU is definitely killing things here I think.

I think its because I always do incremental upgrades to my PC. Obviously the last thing I did was my graphics card.

I've tweaked my graphics card a bit. But does anyone have any good websites for basic overclocking of CPU or RAM? I'm thinking that before I upgrade (cant afford it right now), I should just overclock a little to get a bit more out of it.
