shit, you mean the game we actually got a fucking demo for? The one we literally can play? lol
I don't know about all that now.
I'm not getting Forespoken day 1 as I don't have the time and I didn't see much to justify a day 1, but Square did right with its marketing. They showed trailers to tell what the game is about, gave a demo to let you play it, even with this review code thing, this is NOTHING like CP2077.
Cyberpunk was announced in 2012
Announcement is one thing, full development start is another
...it was announced to already be in development in 2012. I don't see the point in this "full" goal post people have made regarding that game, the fact of the matter is, they have more time then most to make a game and failed in so many aspects, by the time they were done it was missing a fuck ton of features, changed genres and years later we are waiting for basic elements found in GTA III, Watchdogs etc.
CDPR might have easily proven that what Ubisoft does with open world games isn't some easy, simple feat.
Had a second team working on it, "for some time", as in...by the time we hear of it in 2012, they've already been working on it. Stop with excuses for this shit man, they took eons to make a game and failed in so many areas its not even funny. I don't know if its management if they need to hire much more developers or something, but clearly many things went wrong in that development. They took that long and the game had problems and switched genres, Rockstar takes that long and they move 40 million plus units and break records and get awards.
Taking a long time can be a good thing if its by choice to perfect something.....it can also be a massive warning sign that something is deeply wrong in development. I wish it turned out better too as I was hype for it, but I gotta call a spade a spade man.

nahhhhh, it doesn't matter what system its played on. My biggest issue was never performance, it was design. It was no longer an RPG (at least no longer the one promised), extremely shallow, slow dumb AI and PS1 level NPCs, loads of missing features even to the point of menus popping up of features removed in the game lol Playing on PC isn't magically going to get you better AI, more of an RPG and a return to all features missing or some weird shit. I would have given it the same score regardless tbh.
So hard to say if this game will move the numbers Square thinks it should, but they've been known to exaggerate what they think a game should sell ie Tomb Raider, so who knows. Its not a game we've been waiting 8 years for with a massive amount of promises or something lol
