I'll give it a decade.
They will become "niche" before they go extinct..

Never. A large # of people don't want to build their own PC to play games.
Mobile will never be able to bring that big screen TV feeling + surround sound. That's why movie theaters are doing so well. You don't need to build it yourself.
Mobile phones and cloud are a bigger threats to consoles than gaming PCs.

Lag will always exist. I don't think we will have ever be lag free especially with the data being sent getting bigger and bigger. What if they can stream the content to your home entertainment system, just like a console can....
Get out of your little bubble.
All my nieces and nephews (and there are many, because we're a family of 8), all have TVs in the rooms and game on consoles there. Almost all of them, have friends will similar set-ups too.

Yes. Smart tvs are the next big thing. This is the correct answer. People talk about streaming, but as it is smart TVs are a much bigger threat than that to home consoles.
Pretty strong anecdotal evidence.
I have 6 cousins under the age of 18 and none of them has expressed interest in a PS5. They would rather get latest iPhone or maybe just some new mobile games to download on their phones.
