Marvel's ANT-MAN Trailer #1

He's usually used in situations where stealth is needed. He can also become a giant, but I don't know if they're using that in the movies or not.

It's almost a guarantee that he become huge at some climactic point in the movie, in a somewhat similar way to when Godzilla
finally did the atomic breath
.

This is how it always is. People are underwhelmed by the teaser and then are hyped up when the longer trailer comes along.

No, this was just shit. The Star Wars 7 teaser, for instance, was fantastic at building hype. The Guardians of the Galaxy teaser was great, too, and I'm not even an MCU fan.

People were hyped like crazy for the Winter Soldier and Guardians teasers. They were great teasers. This was godawful.

I thought it looked good. Pretty low key for the most part, and focuses on "Scott Lang" and not Ant Man too much but the actual shrinking footage looks awesome. I believe!

Took some screen grabs:

Still don't get the point but ok. After the surprise that was GotG, I won't judge anything Marvel has to offer until I see it.

It looks interesting but I'm not feeling it. Maybe because I'm not invested in the character or because I'm disappointing Edgar is not doing it(I know I know, get over it right) but he made Scott pilgrim come alive for me, so it would have been amazing to see what he would have done with it.

Main character's only two lines are jokes and people say it's too serious?

Just like the Age of Ultron trailer, the first one is gonna be heavy on the drama, but it wasn't Batman serious.

The Marvel movies have just looked so... bland. I'm so bored by their style and this looks the same. Even if you don't like his movies, at least Wright would have made something different.

jon bones

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
I feel like the issue is that, if you look at the really successful marvel movies lately, they haven't felt like the dozens of origin stories that audiences sat through for years. The trailers for The Avengers, Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. moved away from that.

This looks straight up out of that origin story era, and it plays up to it more than it subverts it. I guess I just kind of expected them to subvert it at some point, which they almost did, but then didn't follow through.

you nailed it

I think we're eventually going to dig up this thread from the graveyard and find out who has to eat crow again.

Mind you, I'm not overly impressed with the trailer, but I feel pretty confident Marvel will deliver the goods again.

I'm still hopeful that this movie will deliver. I just need a second trailer that's more hype. I get that this is a teaser, but I need 'dat hype.

I find the whole family thing perspective interesting. Him having a daughter. None of the current superheroes have a child, so that could be something new. This is not about saving the world, this is about his family and him getting a second chance after being a criminal.

I'm very hopeful for Ant-Man.

well not really...yet
Looks about as good as an Ant-Man movie not directed by Edgar Wright could look

read: disappointing. Mildly at best perhaps.
