Is it bad if the thing I'm looking forward to most is Paul Rudd going on Conan to see him use the Mac n Me clip again? It just never gets old.
Haha, I love those

The first GOTG teaser was great, not sure what you're talking about. It established the tone really well with the "Starlord." "...who?" and the lineup introduction of characters, and then somehow used the beat from Hooked on a Feeling to start legit hype music for the end of the trailer.
It's honestly one of the most memorable trailers from the last few years for me.

did wright's script not feature scott lang? because if so, it would hurt that much more
The CG looks somewhat cheap and the production values seem kind of low, I feel like Arrow is able to have similar production values despite being a show.
Also being in 16:9 instead of 22:9 isn't helping.
It was Wright's idea to use Lang instead of Pym.

I didn't come to any sort of conclusion. I made a prediction. I said that I thought he'd be a weak link. I'm done arguing about this, because frankly nothing in this trailer merits any kind of lengthy debate.
I meant something in addition to a trailer in front of AoU. It's mostly wishful thinking on my part.Eh, with Avengers 2 only acouple months prior to Ant-Man's release? That makes the most sense for when we'd see the next trailer.

Where have you been?
My biggest issue with the teaser trailer is that all the pre-teaser trailer news was about how this is a "MARVEL heist flick" in the same way gotg was a "space opera" and CAP2 was a "political thriller" and thor 2 was whatever the fuck that was. How come this Ant_Man teaser trailer shows nothing about a heist?

what was he getting arrested for in the trailer then?

Didn't get me hyped because I got myself worked up about seeing him use the power in cool, useful ways such as running, shrinking, running under the door, expanding, running again and seeing fight footage that looks similar to the SDCC thing from way back.
I'm sure those bits are in there but still.
So, uhm, the pallette looks nice?
This got greenlit before a Kung Fu super hero who uses the mystic power of an elder God as a form of martial arts and who has to kill a dragon with his barehands to gain that power to face his enemies? Seriously?
This trailer looked bleh. Should've made an Iron Fist movie.

Ant-Man is a founding Avenger, no one gives a shit about Iron Fist. This got greenlit before a Kung Fu super hero who uses the mystic power of an elder God as a form of martial arts and who has to kill a dragon with his barehands to gain that power to face his enemies? Seriously?

Like it did with the misfit crew of last year's Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel introduces another unlikely hero to the mainstream when film audiences first meet Scott Lang, he's walking out of prison. Yet Ant-Man is "one of the most surprisingly emotional" movies in the Marvel canon, says producer Kevin Feige. Lang has committed crimes that estrange him from his wife and 4-year-old girl, and Pym seeks a similar redemption with his own daughter (Lilly). "Hank Pym invented the Ant-Man technology, went on many adventures and is now much older and trying to recruit a new person,'' says Feige. "It's the first film we've made in which the story is about a torch being passed, essentially."
Marvel is calling this a teaser, so I don't think the next trailer is going to be 4 months away. They'll probably have something in March, maybe when Agents of SHIELD returns, and another trailer in May with Avengers. Gotta keep the marketing rolling, these days people have short attention spans!

Its okay, he got a Netflix series.Hey, words hurt too.
Kevin Feige talks Ant-Man
Maybe that's why the teaser was more serious in tone than most people expected.
Instead of getting 2 hours of Iron Fist, you're going to be getting 13 hours.
Huh. With a character like Ant-Man I would've expected it to be much more comedic in tone such as more comical action scenes with the size changing, or just playing around with the absurdity of a character who talks to and rides ants.
Also unrelated, but I find it interesting that it seems Pym recruits Scott and gets him out of prison in the movie unlike Scott's original origin which was stealing the Ant-Man suit from Pym.
I hope so. To Steal An Ant-Man is an awesome story.Maybe he is in prison for trying to steal from Pym?
