Definitely recognise very few names now on the gaming side - Ani (that avatar alone takes me back) has been active again and saw some reasonably recent sony_cowboy posts (my sense of time is shot so might be up to a couple of years back) but a bunch of folk from the early days aren't around anymore.

I've known Wollan since the year 2000 I think. That was back when I was lurking the IGN boards(didn't register until 2001). Dude was a soldier, always fighting the good fight for Dear Leader Ken Kutaragi. I always thought he did it in a respectful way though. I don't remember the guy ever being insulting or anything like that(excluding the epic picture he drew lol)
