I don't believe this would happen. Maybe I have too much faith, but I'm pretty confident Roberts and Kennedy would come across at the very least against Trump.

6-2 worst outcome. Very real chance of 8-0 against Trump.

Not that the case is even likely to get to SCOTUS.

I hope you're right. I could see Kennedy.

After 2000, I always try to assume the most cynical, worst case scenario outcome in these types of hypotheticals.

There just so much time for him to recover. I don't know if even Trump could maintain this level of incompetence.
Wife (psychiatrist) says he's a huge narcissistic who is incapable of stopping himself. He literally can't stop responding to events like the Khan situation.

And I'm sure Hillary has clinicians helping her to plan for his pathology.

I say this because i thought we saw the worst of it a few months ago. And this week redefines dumpster fire. But i suspect we can go lower.

And i anticipate a nice HBO movie about this election.

It's almost like he's never ran for office before and decided to run for president as his first try !

I wouldn't recommend it.
i doubt it'd really be a great idea for ANYONE, but I think a lot of actually successful businessmen and women would fare a hell of a lot better than he has or would. At the least the likes of Warren Buffet or Bill Gates would probably be very well meaning Presidents and be better able to roll with punches.

Yeah. I was thinking of that too. Roberts and Kennedy probably hate Trump.

This thread is moving at like a 20p a day pace or more right now! I have had to resort to really skimming it rather than getting into it more.

I refuse to believe people like Katrina Pierson are actually that stupid. Actually, to be honest I have to wonder if the Drumpf campaign is so small because he doesn't know how to run a campaign or he can't actually find people willing to do it.

I think it is pretty obvious. I bet his actual campaign is having trouble hiring competent people for their main office let alone to set up local offices state by state. His supporters, as uneducated white males, are not a group you typically picture organizing and running local campaign efforts. This is definitely generalizing a bit, but from what I have seen they are much more likely to get a hat, bumper sticker, or lawn sign than to organize to get people registered or to the polls on election day.

Awww, how nice. :) Thank you! FYI, my bf actually agrees with you all. He says my tastes in alcohol is terrible. He doesn't bitch about my taste in food because otherwise he'd have to cook for himself. And no one wants that.

Me either. If the Dems pulled this shit, I'd be outtie 5000.

Trump should be advertising heavily in the media market I'm in. I have seen only one anti-Hillary ad, and it's only been in the last few days. It's a negative ad about outsourcing.

On the other hand, I've seen quite a few Hillary ads. The best one is the children ad. That really sticks in your mind. Also, with his recent vomit mouth it's reinforcing the story in the media. So I think that's a good one. I've seen a few others which were more pro-Hillary. Then tehre are the ones with Trump making fun of the disabled that is incredibly effective too.

The best ads airing right now are the ones attacking Strickland. Incredibly effective.

There was an anti-Hillary ad airing fairly regularly here in NYC a few weeks ago. lol.

I saw the children ad when I was visiting friends in Minneapolis.

If the tank was Russian and on fire and he threw a baby out of it while telling a dead veteran's family that they're traitors, maybe.
Hey!

It's his first time running for president!

How many of us would know not to kick babies out of rallies, insult the families of slain soldiers, and call Mexicans rapists?

Most of us you say?

Well you'd be right!

But Trump isn't like most people.

I let you infer the rest yourself.

Trump spokesperson Katrina Pearson just said on CNN that Obama's changing of rules of engagement probably cost Capt. Khan his life. In 2004.

So the man called Ohio "rotting" and said Pennsylvania "looked like a war zone?"

The guy has to be trying to lose. I can't possibly see how this is real at this point. The man is actively harpooning his chances in swing states.

Honestly, how much does Hillary need to attack? Trump himself is making the case for his inability to lead by going on TV and saying dumb shit as if it's as necessary as breathing to him.

Maybe she should cut a "Daisy"-style ad, but otherwise, she should spend on positive ads that explain exactly what she plans to do and contrasts those clear, well-considered plans with the garbage that Trump is spewing (mostly indirectly and maybe in a few of the ads, directly).

Trump is the first candidate for President to go negative on himself.

I do agree that your average successful person could run a better campaign than Trump. He is particularly bad at this. And in his case the lack of experience running a campaign is magnifying the problem severely. He's the last person who would recognize is out of his depth and in over his head.

And here's why so many republicans knew Trump would be an issue:

Sam Wang ‏@SamWangPhD 2h2 hours ago

40% of GOP base consistently liked Trump best in primaries. If Ryan/McCain/etc alienate them, that's likely >10% of November voters. Trapped

I don't get it. It seems like he definitely trying to sabotage himself, but I legit just don't think he was ready for this lol. All his life he's gotten away with shit and bullshitted his way to everything.

Now he's on the biggest stage and people are starting to finally call him on his bullshit.

Khan soon to be on a CNN special now. He's getting so much airtime. Dude is a boss and his wife is so unbelievably calm and tolerant in the face of adversity.

Even his crazy fucking mouthpieces are out there spouting lies.

Easily disprovable lies.

This campaign is just...

*head asplodes*

I just can't. I can barely form thoughts. It's dumbfounding that this tiny man, in all ways, is likely to get at least 40% of the vote.

By all rights he should be disqualified by his actions.

I desperately wanted this man as nominee. But I had no idea. I really, really didn't.

The dude is a straight boss. Should run for some kind of office his own self. After this, I'm sure he'd win.

Like, he's losing his ability to dog whistle. Don't go after central PA, is Eastern PA. No one thinks of Harrisburg and thinks black people.

Maybe he's having a breakdown. I think it's more likely he gets admitted to the hospital over the next three months. Much more likely than winning PA, OH or Florida.

Taking over tevin campbell's spot as the worst use of this phrase.

I can only blame millennials for this.

It was always going to be him.

He plays well with the hardest core of the hardcore Rep voter.

This is a sign of systemic rot at the Republican party core. Fires they've been stoking since the advent of the Southern strategy. Paying off in an astonishing, demoralizing way.

Trump is that perfect mouthpiece for unbridled, ugly white rage. Their country is being changed to something browner and more inclusive, and that scares them to their very core.

It was always going to be him. I just hope the actual electorate willing to play such ugly games is much smaller than we currently expect.

I think what we're seeing is a war between his subconscious, which is SCREAMING at him to get the hell out of this job he neither wants nor is ready for, and his ego, which is absolutely phobic about humiliation and losing.

So did I Tom.. So did I.. What did we do?

Wolf actually fact-checked that when they got back from the break later on.
Wolf doing his job? Oh Jesus.. That's like the 10th he pretended to do his job this year.. Oh my

There is literally nothing in the world I would rather watch less than that.
Michigan national championship celebration or Pittsburgh super bowl parade.

You'd watch those? :)

Remember many thought he just wanted the Republicans to kick him out so he could take a share of their supporters rather than start from scratch, be it to start his own party or his own media company? Still doesn't sound far-fetched.

I know it's redundant to say, but it's such bad strategy going on O'Reilly or Hannity for 20 minutes every other night. He's reaching nobody new and just reinforcing the image of the Republican candidate as the candidate of people who watch Fox News.

Trump likes having his ego stroked, and I dare say those are just about the two programs left that'd do that for him.

i have an addendum to my post above.

This sentence Trump is that perfect mouthpiece for unbridled, ugly white rage.

Should read Trump is that perfect mouthpiece for unbridled, ugly, impotent
white rage.

Just in case he's reading.
