I think Du is winning regardless of who he faces in GF. But I hope one of the Japanese can make it over Ricki. It's just a better story and would get the crowd more excited IMO. Lets face it, the American crowd doesn't normally get excited a match between foreigners unless the match itself just provides a lot of hype moments. Japan vs USA with USA winning and every thing is hype no matter what it is.

Knuckle Du has the best Mika in the world because he fully figured out how to play SFV imo (Fuudo is too safe and calculated, which is not the optimal way to play SFV lol). He wouldn't be getting trashed 0-3 as badly as Fuudo did.

That's what makes Fuudo's Mika great though because he doesn't play her like everyone else. For the most part he's always destroying whoever he faces.

Sometimes I wish Udon would be a standard, since they filled in a bunch of holes, but then again they've had some questionable choices.

Believe or not, a ton of people play games due to who the people they are are. I know someone who won't be getting SFV simply because their favs aren't in there and even if new characters show up, that's not the character who they had a connection with which was made during a very important time in their lives. Some people don't care about new mechanics and moves and just play because it's "their character" and this is no exception.

I'll get Akuma but that'll probably be it and once I play with him for a bit I'll probably stay away from the series until S3 comes out and maybe then we'll get some more classics.

However Capcom are not obligated to release certain characters that some people may have a link with. Besides how "thier" character played in a previous game may not be the same to how they are in future iterations so I don't see why Capcom cannot create new characters that people may have new "connections" with.

Actually, Slam Masters is directly connected to the SF canon through Final Fight, so their inclusion would be neat. Unless they changed that with this whole character catalogue they've been doing for SFV.
