Its lunacy. Not only are there already NVME SSD's faster than whats in XSX, there are ones faster than PS5 already on the way, and may actually release before PS5. And even if we lived in an alternate reality where SSD's didnt exist on PC, all what would happen is next gen games would reccomend like 32gb of ram, as ram is still many, many times faster thanSSD's, and always will be, so data would just be streamed from Ram instead. Thankfully we dont live in that alternate reality.
Every game shown on the XSX event is coming to PC. XSX first party games are coming to PC. PS5 games will come to PC at some point imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if ms's stance on this changed with the outrage from their last showing and general online opinion and you will actually see some xsx exclusive games at launch (more than they planned to anyway) they might change policy like most companies do these days by gauging online reactions to stuff I've no doubt whatsoever ms will bring it from the start they have a good many studios now and the games we saw the other day most of them will end up on ps5 exactly the same but I think it's a given Sony will launch with ps5 exclusives... But launch lineups don't matter to me at all though it's totally not an indication of how good said console is over the 6-7 year gen I mean it's nice but the majority will still be playing cod/FIFA/Fortnite etc it won't matter to them .

I think PS5 will have some fantastic looking first party games, but I also think Xbox's conference may be an indication of how COVID19 is really affecting the development process in that people a running up against some hard deadlines. I was impressed that they were able to put what they did together, but I'm looking at it through the handicap of our circumstances today. Sony staying relatively quiet until their supposed showing in June may be the right choice. Microsoft obviously forced things here and especially after watching DF's review of the Xbox show...I think it's benefitting Sony that Xbox is trying to jump the gun here.

Now, in fairness, we don't know if it will look as good or better than Sony's first party PS5 titles, which is what I think this thread is about, but still, at the very least it DOES appear that XsX will have some games showing off next gen power from the jump, which is nice.

Hellblade 2 is the most impressive next gen footage that I've seen so far, that along with Project Mara and Bright Memory Infinite.
Other than Godfall, have we seen anything else for PS5?

Possible? It's HIGHLY likely, actually it already has for most people. Plus there's Halo Infinite, Project Mara , PG1's Forza Horizon always has the best looking graphics in gaming and I suspect PG2's Fable will look just as amazing.

2022 is wishful thinking on my part. Looking back at the God of War III and God of War PS4 gap, it was 8 years in between, I don't know that it would take that long again, but even though 2022 seems far from today, when you consider PS5 is launching technically in 2021 (Last month of 2020) One year later to get God of War 5 seems rushed now that I think about it. That being said, for that game alone I would buy a PS5. Release dates will determine if I will wait for the PS5 Pro, but it's starting to make sense for me, Xbox Series X may be more powerful and make sense for launch, then PS5 Pro for the big guns at their full ray traced glory since historically those haven't been around the first year or two anyway.

I have no idea when Spidey 2, Good of War 5, or Hellblade 2 will release. My hunch with a Hellblade 2 is leaning toward early 2021 at the latest, but who knows

God of War 4 took longer because they basically had to redo their engine from scratch. Implementing Atreus also made the development longer because SSM wasn't used to AI companions
They already have the engine now and PS5 is the easier PlayStation console to develop for going by what developers have been telling Jim Ryan and Mark Cerny

I don't know man. Ninja Theory are absolute wizards no doubt, but I can't see it releasing that early, I would think like late 2022 at the earliest. I will say though, I hope you're right and I'm wrong. I can't wait to play it, the visuals are mind-blowing.

While the gameplay part looked ok, it didn't screamed next-gen at all.
That was in-engine and not gameplay. Everything can look much better in-engine. By the time HB is coming, there will already be much better looking games (or maybe already in a month).

Be interesting what they do in terms of level design, with the talk of the SSD stuff people think level design will change. I can’t realy see it, spiderman had some big open areas. I can see how it will stream quicker but that’s about it
