This is awesome. A piece of really solid work. I remember when as a kid i tried to recreate (poorly) the Nissan GTR R32 cockpit using wooden and cardboard plates and a 21 inch CRT TV as a screen 
I even had a set of broken counters, probably from VW Golf I, if I remember correctly.
I played Gran Turismo 2 on ps1 with the old Thrustmaster steering wheel.
All this was wobbly, every now and then falling apart and leaving splinters on the carpet, but for a short time I had my own "automotive" sanctuary.
Huge respect for this guy for realizing his passions.

Nothing too unusual for simmers, definitely grade a work with all the different equipment he can swivel back and forth for different types of games.
Still, thanks to VR, these days you can achieve even more immersion with just a seat and joysticks/whatever rather than building the whole cockpit.
I love how interactive the cockpits in VTOL VR are, I saw recently they're working similar inputs in games like DCS and X-Plane, but not so great, yet.

Just gonna say, for some people this would be the ideal setup. My older brother has his gaming shit in his living room and never gets to play because his wife lives on the TV. He tried to make a small gaming space in another room and that's when she decided the treadmill goes in that room now. I bet he'd kill for a towel on a concrete floor and a 13" TV if it meant he could just play a fucking game in peace.

The beauty of PC is that it's an insanely versatile platform. What this guy chose to do with his set up is wild, others have their rig set up for gaming and music production, others focus on gaming and home theater stuff. The possibiities may literally be endless. Best platform, hands down.

Yeah nobody mentions how expensive the therapy is for the aftermath. If only a single person had told your friend it was a bad deal. Real shame.
