Weapon balance has just a few issues.
-The ARs range needs nerfed. It should not be shredding shields from range. I understand why they buffed the hell out of the AR, to give all the new to the franchise Halo noobs a chance, so im ok with the damage it does, but the AR range is absurd. Im not gonna be too mad because a skilled Halo player will beat an AR scrub every time but still.
-The only real nerf they did since the test flights was to the Commando which makes no sense. The gun is basically useless now. Its probably the toughest gun in the game to use because of the upwards recoil - and now it takes even longer to kill. Revert.
-All the weird weapons like Mauler, Disrupter, Plasma nade launcher, Red alien BR are all quite good - but have a pretty high skill requirement, its why no one uses them - im ok with that. The plasma guns do what theyre intended: shred shields fast. Only the Plasma carbine 3 shot burst thing is completely unreliable. Bullets need faster trajectory.
-The BR is 100% perfect. They better not fuck with it like they did in Halo 5 post launch. H5 eventually made the BR shoot slow as hell - and if you play H5 today, the BR isnt even used, in a Halo game. Blasphemy.
-The pistol has the correct ammo count and damage. If you're running out of ammo with the pistol, aim better. Good, careful aim under duress should be rewarded, not button spamming. Buffing the pistol damage will make the game Halo 1 or Halo 5 all over again (ie: one gun pistol only games). They will likely make a Halo 1 pistol playlist in the future for fun.
