Funny how shadowbans become a thing on Youtube.
I remember saying 'I disagre with you because "X" and "Y", after one day the comment don't even appear on the commentary session, only if I login with my account, to give me the illusion of 'he still there'.
Totally reason if someone insult or use bad words and the creator use the report button, but now creators are so fucking snowflakes that only single disagreement is reason to simple shadowban and making no one interact with that commentary.
And those people still have some nerves to talk about democracy.

The point is, I think, is that he didn't invent anything himself. He was born wealthy and paid his way up, taking the credit for those he stood on the shoulders of. He is not an engineer or scientist, he contributed nothing to these achievements aside from money and, from reports, abusive managing techniques. In regards to SpaceX he merely repeated the same observations thousands of others did before him, realizing that the way governments were going about space travel was unsustainable and needed private sector interjection. It was far from some insightful or new idea - people had been petitioning the USA and Russia for that since like 1996.
But off course he is a savvy businessman. Otherwise he wouldn't be the richest man in the world. But don't mistake financial smartness with any other vocation.

One thing I'm quite interested to see is how moderation changes, especially when it comes to transparency. I always respect when platforms make their rules clear. If someone's violating the rules, they should know what rule and why. That can then be an example for others of what isn't allowed, and people can rightfully criticize if the rule isn't being applied to everyone.

Allowing people to choose what they wish to see is entirely different from the platform itself restricting things from what people wish to see in a heavily targeted manner.No he doesn't. In his statement to advertisers he literally talks about the ability of users to choose their experience based on their preferences. Which allows people to insulate themselves from content they don't want.

All the Twitter workers had to do is just do what they did way back when it was a neutral kind of site where people were just posting normal boring stuff. When things over the years amped up on political stuff, they had a choice. Clamp down on both sides, or let both sides freely do their thing. However, they clamped down more on one side only. So much for social media being for the people to speak their minds. You'd think the last people on Earth at tech companies waving the ban hammer would be geeky coders, but here we are.

Let's say he is all those things, who gives a shit? The fact he was banned for not going along with the gender ideology nonsense is a dumb reason to be permanently banned for and it shouldn't have happened.
Thats the problem, a certain group of people are 100% okay with people being removed from social media only because THEY don't like them. This type of thinking and censorship is WRONG period, regardless of who it impacts.
Their are so many dumb people on Twitter who if they were banned the platform would legit lose nothing. But I'd rather have everything out in front of me and let me make the decision if I want to see it or not. Twitter themselves making that decision for me is wrong.
