They should've had Mario Kart for this fall. Wasn't it Mario 3D Land + Mariokart 7 (+ Price cut) that turned around the 3DS?

It's been a long time since I've been excited about a game. I mean I've got quite a few things on my radar but nothing like this. Feels real good.
I'm going to be disappointed by this ND no doubt

You can always interpolate two Directs onto each other to work with these special Sony glasses that allow full-screen multiplayer.

Or hide a 666 minutes long Nintendo direct in a 33 minute hypercube shenanigans, I watched enough Contact to know it's possible.

Regarding the VGX comment, I just want to temper my expectations as much as possible. I guess my point is that, to me, it seems impossible that we won't get something interesting, I just want to get my expectations to a realistic place.

It was a blur. Iwata talked about the smash success of 3D World and then moved onto HD Zelda. Link was a girl...or at least he had lipstick on. I think I remember F-Zero which was crazy of course. Cranky Kong in Smash and Kart. Some weird skit involving Iwata, reggie, a cranky Kong mask and bananas. It's all a bit fuzzy from there on out. I think at the end I sang a song and Reggie joined in?

Yes. Nintendo was silly this time around. After 3DS going through what Wii U went through and them not learning from their mistakes like brand confusion and droughts...Nintendo needs to stop being so uptight. Xbox One and PS4 aren't in Japan yet so Nintendo should have taken advantage of the market but they just sit there and waste it.

Its the Nintendo IP I care about the most right now because it's the one IP that holds SO much potential with the Wii U hardware, yet is criminally ignored. And it really does upset me. Nintendo has an amazing opportunity to make a KICKASS Starfox with insane graphics and totally reinvigorate the franchise. I know I'm not alone in wishing Ninty would see it the same way.

Dead or Alive? That sounds cool actually. Wii U doesn't have much fighters at the moment and DoA normally has some cool graphics and maybe we'll get some Nintendo characters in it? :0

They never strictly go by what the announcement says. Anybody realisticly expecting zelda is doing so just so they can complain when its not shown.. I mean how many times you gonna say zelda and complain...? You aint learn yet lol

I wish Mario Kart would have the option for video chat using the wii u gamepad's camera similar to how the arcade games have. Sure, it might be a bit shaky but at least it's a better use than having just a fucking horn on the screen..

Logical side of me: They will show off Donkey Kong some more, talk about other upcoming titles, and perhaps a few glimpses of X or SMTxFE.
