FFXVI and Spider-Man for me. I'll grab Armored Core at somepoint later.

Edit: Forgot Baldur's Gate 3. Me and some friends are going to playthrough that when it drops.

No way will I have time to play all the games I want to play at launch.

Right now I plan on picking up the following at launch:
  • Starfield
  • Armored Core VI
  • Assassin's Creed: Mirage
Maybe getting at launch depending on if friends are:
  • Remnant II
Not getting at launch, but maybe before end of year:
  • Spider-Man 2
  • Lies of P
  • Lords of the Fallen
  • Pikmin 4
There's way more than that I'm interested in and will pick up at later point (probably on sale).

From OP's list.

Blasphemous 2
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Starfield (Maybe)
Lies of P
Mortal Kombat 1
Lords of the Fallen
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

There are others that aren't included on this list that I plan on getting as well. Gonna be pretty busy.

BG3 is the only one I have any degree of confidence in, or anticipation for, and that's only because it's been in early access for three frickin years.

The rest are intriguing, but the industry's behavior for the last few years has killed my ability to get excited over anything anymore.

Most of these games will come out half-assed, and need months of patches and optimizations to even come close to living up to their promises, if they ever do.

I'd love to be wrong, but have no reason to think I will be.

It's already been a great year. I dont know about July, August or November though. Very meh months. I guess AM6 will save august.

Starfield, Spiderman, Space Marine, Forza, Armored Core and Avatar are day one for me.

Alan Wake, Lords of Fallen, Cyberpunk and Mortal Kombat are wait and see.

Probably less than ten:

July
  • Pikmin 4
  • TLoH: Trails into Reverie
September
  • Rune Factory 3 Special
  • TLoN: Boundless Trails
November
  • Disgaea 7
Others purchases, if released this year:

  • Hollow Knight: Silk Song
  • My Time at Sandrock (console)
  • Haunted Chocolatier
  • Decapolice

Claiming quality before shit even comes out. Retire from making threads please.
God forbid people being excited for games……no we can’t have that, we all must act jaded and miserable.

I mean it’s video games…it’s fun being excited about video games. Sure there is chance we might get disappointed but its not end of the world…it just a hobby, people shouldn’t stress over it.

Less than 10, Starfield a must, and AC Mirage aswell and maybe the Cyberpunk dlc if they don't screw the game up like The Witcher 3 DX 12 update, i'll wait until it's out to check.

Who the fuck buys more than 10 games in 6 months? Man add some granularity to this poll.

I was going to post something earlier this week about whether or not publishers should consider strategically delaying their game due to too much competition. So many good games are going to fail or do much worse because there are so many other good games.
There are posts like this every 6 months and the lists are always mediocre at best. Do any of you fucking remember 2007? Now that was a good time for games.
I think 2023 is better than 2007, at least on paper lets see what the games are like. TotK was better than anything that year too.

Will be getting Starfield, Payday 3 and Shadow Gambit.

Big maybe on Alan Wake 2, since I'm not dying to give the Epic Shit Store any money.

Solid list.
Armored Core might be day 1 but I want to see more about it first.
Space Marine 2 might be day 1 too depending on reception and IF I can convince at least one friend to buy it too for co-op.
Phantom Liberty launching sounds like a good moment to finally pick up Cyberpunk 2077, I assume there's going to be some sort of bundle

Other stuff that interest me but not day 1
Alan Wake 2
Lies of P / Lord of the Fallen (depending on reviews/impressions)
Spiderman 2
Like a Dragon.

Starfield would be day 1 too but I have nothing to play it on.

Ugh. Pretty underwhelming to my tastes.

Definitely Bomb Rush Cyberfunk in August, and I'll subscribe to gamepass for a couple of months to check out Starfield/Forza.
Then maybe the Cyberpunk expansion, Pikmin4, Like a Dragon Gaiden and the Lollipop Chainsaw remake if it gets out this year.

Tons plus a few more that are not there, and countless more music releases as well which for me is sometimes difficult to determine which I spend the most on lol. Also art and stuff. Its been a great year for games and I see that continuing through to the end. Granted 2024 is starting to look pretty stacked for me as well which is quite nice.
