I agree. Legend of Heroes and Starfield, Alone in the Dark and Space Marine 2 as well as others or ones I'm definitely looking forward to.

Is it me or there's not a lot of Switch big hit during that time? I probably miss something but Pikmin 4 isn't totally a Zelda title.

Come on now, at least half of these games will be 7/10's at best. Not to say a 7/10 is bad or can't be fun, but let's settle down a bit. Here, I'll highlight them for you:

July:
The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie - 7/10 at best
Exoprimal - 7/10 at best
Jagged Alliance 3 - 7/10 at best
Immortals of Aveum - 7/10 at best

Pikmin 4
Remnant 2 - 7/10 at best
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (PC) - old port, nobody cares

August:
Atlas Fallen - - 7/10 at best
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew - - 7/10 at best
Blasphemous 2 - 7/10 at best

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Baldur's Gate 3

September:
Starfield
Lies of P - 7/10 at best
Mortal Kombat 1
Payday 3 - 7/10 at best
CP 2077 Phantom Liberty

October:
The Lamplighters League - 7/10 at best
Disgaea 7 - 7/10 at best

Forza Motorsport
Assassin's Creed Mirage
Lords of the Fallen - 7/10 at best
Alan Wake 2
Spider-Man 2
Cities: Skylines II
Alone in the Dark - 7/10 at best
Total War: Pharaoh - 7/10 at best, I actually don't really know but also don't care

November:
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name - 7/10 at best
Persona 5 Tactica - 7/10 at best
The Day Before - 7/10 at best

December:

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - 7/10 at best

Nothing in July for me (ok maybe oxenfree 2) to have a chance at clearing Zelda totk, Jedi survivor and Ffxvi.
Late august -october is out of control, game companies are gonna make so much money from me smh.

Can’t Git Gud
Armored core
spider man2 maybe
Alan Wake 2.... not likely since they screwed physical over and I don't like the 2nd protagonist.

Gp starfield.

The rest will most likely be wait for sale.

Free time is going to disappear

But

Ff16, Spider-Man 2, Pikmin 4 and Starfield for me

And Zelda. Still playing Zelda.

Of the ones revealed so far I'm getting Pikmin, Assasains Creed and Total War. But I reckon they'll be a Nintendo Direct to announce some other things as well.

Only a few I'm interested in, but the only one I'm considering any time soon is Armored Core 6. Not exactly an exciting second half of the year, but that doesn't matter to me considering just how strong the first half has been.

Pikmin 4
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Starfield
Spider-Man 2
Persona 5 Tactica

I can honestly say this is the first time in a long time I look at a list and wish I could actually afford a majority of that... Sheesh. What a great year this is turning out to be

I'm getting: ff16 rayz arcade chronology (rayforce/raystorm/ray cris), oxenfree 2, pikmin 4, armored core 6, mgs1 remaster, mk1, starfield, phantom liberty, lords of the fallen, ac mirage, forza motorsport, Alan Wake 2, Avatar, spiderman 2, blasphemous 2. Dodonpachi Dai Ojou M2 shot triggers port is supposed to be releasing this year as well Suikoden 2 remaster.

If Silksong and Tekken 8 get released this year I'll get those.

Even if there are a couple delays '23 will still be the best year in gaming history imo. At least for my tastes. I love remasters and remakes so I have no issues there

Not just you. Pikmin 4 is a big deal imo buy after that Nintendo has nothing coming .. Nintendo has been really quiet lately. They're due to announce some stuff soon, right?

I have more TOTK, FF16, and Xenoblade 2 and 3 to keep me busy until early 2024. None of those games are going to change my mind.

Day 1 whatever happens:

Armored Core VI
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
Alone in the Dark
Silent Hill 2

Maybe not day 1, but eventually

Starfield
Lies of P

Wait and see:

Alan Wake II

Would have been there, if there was a simultaneous PC release:

Final Fantasy XVI

Mr Reasonable

Completely Unreasonable
Even just the Gamepass games on that list are too many to take on.

I'm already sitting on a backlog I won't get through of Switch games, so I'm gonna probably hold off on Pikmin.

Elsewhere, I'm interested to try Lies of P.

I love Alan Wake, but I am not very hyped about the sequel. I would like more Alan Wake in the small town America of Stephen King novels but with better combat. Switching up to survival horror with a character swap mechanic has made me wonder to some degree why it's a sequel. Waiting on reviews.

And then obviously Starfield. Impossible to not be hyped about it.

I should try and play The Witcher so I can move on to Cyberpunk... And then the DLC.

Arsic

Loves his juicy stink trail scent
Really hope we get path of exile 2 here in the fall/winter too.

These teaser trailers are killing me.

64bitmodels

Reverse groomer.
high priority games i'm most excited for:
Sonic Superstars
Like a Dragon Gaiden
FORZA MOTORSPORT BABYEEEEEEEEEE
Spider Man 2 ( will never understand the graphics complaints)
Pikmin 4
Final Fantasy XVI (it's not on the list, but it's also not out yet so i'm hyped.... this is what will make me buy a PS5)

Mild interest:
Starfield (this would be high priority if it weren't bethesda, everything about it speaks to me but there's a good chance they could fuck it up.... cautiously optimistic)
Lies of P
Mortal Kombat 1 (I've been SF6pilled, another fighting game on my roster would be difficult to fit in LOL. Plus I straight up don't like Mortal Kombat. My friend says that it looks really hype and interesting though, so going off of that i'll give it a chance.... maybe)
Payday 3
Cities Skylines 2 (I haven't even gotten that much into the first one yet, gimme a break)
Persona 5 Tactica
Alan Wake 2 (haven't played the original, but Remedy makes top tier stuff)
CP2077 Phantom Liberty
Immortals of Aveum (looks generic as fuck, but also fun. UE5 is what interests me though, would love to see the performance on PC)

& thats about it, everything else i dont give a rats ass for

Day 1
Starfield (GP)
Space Marine 2

After Sale (if good, of course)
Immortals of Aveum
AssCreed Mirage
Baulder's Gate 3 (fuck WotC, but I'm not going to hold that against the devs)

Sleepwalker

FFXVI
Starfield
Dead space (already out but gotta get to it)
Jedi survivor same as above
Mortal Kombat 1
Phantom liberty
AC Mirage
Spiderman 2
Alan wake 2
Remnant 2

God help me...

Will be buying 6 of the 8 games that I currently have for the second half of 2023.

- Remnant 2 / $70 digital ultimate edition
- Atlas Fallen / $60 disc
- Starfield / $100 digital premium edition
- Alan Wake 2 / $80 deluxe edition
- Marvel's Spider Man 2 / $70 digital
- Like a Dragon Gaiden / $50
- Assassin's Creed Mirage / $20 monthly rental via Ubisoft+
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora / $20 monthly rental via Ubisoft+

Expecting Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden to be released in the second half of 2023 while im expecting Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to get delayed to 2024. Either way, a stacked second half of the year for me.

bender

What time is it?
Day 1:

Pikmin 4
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name

Game Pass:

Exoprimal
Starfield

On the Fence:

Remnant 2 - This probably would have been day one but I'm not sure how quickly my co-op buddy and I will get through Diablo
Baldur's Gate 3 - Don't really love Larian's games
Alan Wake 2 - While we've only seen brief snippets, early indications are that it is a lot like the original mechanically which I thought was dull in the first place.
Spider-Man 2 - After Miles Morales, I'm kind of Spider-Man'ed out.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - I'm playing through the original on Deck right now and having a good time. I'll probably wait for a price drop though.

Games Not Listed In the OP:

Ghost Trick
Apollo Justice Collection

The rest of the year should be pretty easy on my wallet.

been a long time since i've been in this position, for a long time now i've only been interested in 1 or 2 games heading into the end of the year. Now I have to try get time for remnant 2, space marine 2, lords of the fallen, lies of p and starfield. There's also that other soulslike game where the trailer had him surfing the sand, I can't even remember that games name let alone have time for it but I want to play that aswell.

edit: ah shit I forgot alan wake 2, only way all this is happening is if we get another pandemic and lock down (not wishing that just sayin)

I have so much shit to do in Q3 and Q4 I'm honestly considering finally getting a Switch or a Steam Deck (or both!) to start gaming on the road.
Almost every game I'd be playing at launch will have to wait. Crushing fomo endurance test.

The 100% in list - In order of appearance:

Diablo 4 Season 1
Blasphemous 2
Armored Core 6 - day one 100%, time off booked.
Starfield
Lies of P
Silent Hill 2
Cyberpunk2077 Phantom Liberty
Lords of the Fallen
Alan Wake 2
Alone in the Dark
The Last Faith
The Invincible

The maybe list - likely not happening, no time:

Final Fantasy XVI
Aassasssin's Creed Mirage
Spiderman 2
Witchfire (early access)
Fort Solis
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Baldur's Gate 3

...Current backlog:

Humanity VR - playing now!
GT7 VR
Outlast Trials (early access)
Jedi Faller Order 2
Amnesia: Bunker

Starfield, that should be enough to keep me busy. I still have Diablo 4 and FF16 to play. I also like to replay RE4 remake from time to time. Maybe City Skylines 2, if it turns out to work well on consoles. If not, I might pick up Anno 1800 for xbox. Still waiting for that game to get a discount.
