I agree on the fps part. But starfield will not be a 100% shooter game like for example doom. It will (most likely) have slower parts like shopping in town, exploring the environments and so on. Of course, 60 fps would be much nicer, but again, you got to make compromises on console. 30fps was OK-ish for Fallout and I guess it will be alright for Starfield. People that want premium (high fps, ultra graphics) need to pay premium (pc) - as I said. 60fps games also did exist on last gen. Remember MGS5? That was 60fps on PS4. But it was not only 60fps because 60fps is better, it was 60fps because it was still being released within a transition-window from PS3 to PS4. Much like the examples you mentioned. Once devs understand how to make next gen games, the majority of titles will be 30fps. That's my bet. Looks at this very forum. People cream themselves over a game that has nice tits, that's just how the majority of gamers think.I don’t know, 30fps is getting uncommon. There were some people early in the gen prefering Ratchet, Demon’s Souls, Miles Morales at 30fps, I think DF even preferred 30fps in Forza Horizon 5, and I talked with people preferring the 30fps mode in Horizon Forbidden West as well.
But games with first person shooting? Can you list a single one? That’s definitely a gameplay style that benefit from a higher fps.
So, I guess Bethesda need to nail the third person mode.
