What?

England shouldn't be worried by this performance. They've went into two games in which they were expected to get an unfavourable result and are walking out with 4 points from two games.

England should be very happy. They were expecting far worse.
?

Unfavourable result against this Swedish side, really? You have better players on almost every position. Gerard + Parker should annihilate Svensson and Källström in the midfield, it just seems like you're playing way below your potential.

Welbeck is lanky and looks a bit awkward for it, but he's actually one of United's best technical prospects; certainly our best academy-produced striker since Mark Hughes. Going to be some player.

Can't help but feel we got lucky.

Sweden not very good and we should have won this easily.

Walcott made the difference, genuine pace and ability to beat players, won't work against better sides cos you need a trick but today it was enough. Gerrard had a 10 yard headstart on him when we broke at the end and Theo just ate that ground up, blisteringly quick.

Why can't England just keep the ball? Everytime there's men available and they make some stupid pass or lose it up the field.

Welcome to watching England... Hollywood goals followed by 20 minutes of stupid whilst they get over scoring and how good it must have looked on the telly.

We've never beat Sweden in a tournament EVER.

Typical fucking England. They look so laboured when on the ball at times. They never look comfortable on the ball. Instead of playing the simple pass they always try to force it. And when the opposition has the ball they gradually move further and further back. That just invites pressure on you.

In a funny way, it did them a lot of good going behind. There was much more urgency in their play. Well, they had to be really. They had to throw caution to the wind.

One thing is for certain, if they want to progress in the competition, they need to play much better than this.

The first time we've beaten Sweden in 24 years.

Gerrard traded his pace for some big abs.

Will be interesting to see if Rooney can give some spark to England. Needs to be able to hold possession better and play some fotball under pressure.

Shouldn't matter here, the quality of your players and lack of it on our end should speak for itself. I can understand that you've struggled against better Swedish sides back when we used to have good defense and midfielders in better shape but this should have been a comfortable victory for England.

Whatever makes the loss more bearable for you.

What's going on with Lescott's hair?

Thats what I was thinking. It's like he's wearing a hairpiece.

Ran over as a 5 year old and dragged down the road resulting in him needed multiple operations.

He has openly talked about it before and said he feels lucky as appart from the scar he is perfectly well as where a lad was in hospital with him who was hit by a wing mirror of a passing car which resulted in him having permanent brain damage.
