People really need to stop with this spectacularly idiotic talking point.
People call out anything they see. They called out the Craig thing from Halo. They called out the Prince of Persia remake snafu. They called out the new Saints Row for having equally cringe Gen-Z dialogue.
People in this forum love Chun-Li. They love classic Lara Croft. They love Jill Valentine from Resident Evil. They love Chloe from Uncharted.
The criticism here has nothing with the protagonist being a chick. So stop getting your, uhh, "dick tied in a knot" about something that's not even happening.

I'll never forget Agni's Philosophy and how everyone on GAF unanimously hated it because it had a woman in it, and no one wanted the full game or praised it. And she was even the first woman to ever star in a tech demo showing that women can be philosophers too just like the boys; shattering the glass ceiling for all women coming forward. Forspoken likely wouldn't even exist today without her sacrifice.

Delsin, even the name of the protagonist in that game is utter garbage. (apologies to anyone named Delsin)
And his attitude in the game, such a douche. But it's an incredible looking and playing game, I platinumed it, so I actually think this could be ok, but it will be on a deep sale......or PS Plus hopefully

One of my favourite games is Uncharted Lost Legacy where they are actually strong women. This game protagonist is just a woke pastiche that reminds us every 5 seconds how she's strong and everything is better because she's not a white man. I actually expect a gender reveal and pronouns at this stage.
So it's not about woman (did you assume zir gender?) but all the morally bankrupt stuff around it.
