But those gamers are losing something. That's what kills ecosystem warriors. And its not even the actual product (game) since they have the option to play on PC.Mindsets 1&2 sound irrational to me lol. I totally get being a fan of something, but taking it to the extent that you'd want others to miss out is just extremely bizarre, and I agree, it does seem counterintuitive.
The “there’s no point in buying the console if it’s on PC” argument is silly since no one is forcing anyone to buy anything.
If anything there is now less reason to spend money on unnecessary hardware just to play one or a few titles they're interested in. If you already have a capable gaming PC, why spend money on something you don't need, right?
No one is actually losing out with this model.
It's the loss of branding. To them, their favourite video game brand is getting diluted because they think PC gaming is dumb, so they take it seriously to heart.
I typically buy Panasonic stuff for my electronics. Even my microwave and home theatre system are Panny. The only thing I never bought that's Panny are their electric shavers. But when I got a new TV 5 years ago (upgrade to a 4k tv), I couldnt get a Panasonic because it seemed they phased out Panny TVs in Canada. It's like 1 store still sold them and I have no idea if those are pulled from the US or old ass models they were trying to get rid of, so I bailed. Even my old CRT was Panny.
I didn't give a shit. I just picked another brand.
