Anyone here tried any good (or bad) sakura treats?

I bought a box of sakuranbo jellies once from the wagashi seller at Mitsuwa. I liked them.

looked like these:

Those are so pretty. きれいな~!

Thanks for sharing. There was a wagashi seller at the Mitsuwa near where we lived in Torrance, CA in the past. We never tried any of their wares unfortunately, honestly they looked so ornate they had more the appearance of art than food. There was an incredible katsu curry to be had in the food court, though, as well as some of the best-reviewed ramen (Santouka) in the LA area, and stellar sashimi for home use.

I tried a sakura tea at Starbucks several years ago, and the only thing that stood out to me was it tasted like a tree.

Received last month's Oyatsubox a few days back:

Jan Oyatsubox

As I know Max will ask :), my favourite items were:

Carl Cheese Chips - Puffed Curls with a delicious cheesy flavour.

The Hot Milk Chocobi - a sweet, light star-shaped snack, famous in Japan.

Torrance is as good as it gets for Japanese food in the US, in my experience. We make the trek there (from Arizona) several times per year.

Received some new nippon snack this week. ^_^

Meltykiss matcha chocolate. Very tasty. Apparently they only sell this during winter?

Some hard candy. I liked most of it, but not the tea flavored ones.

Boss cafe au lait. Bit too sweet for my liking, but it wasn't bad. I prefer regular black/zero.

And uh.. some faux grape thingies. They were interesting.

heads up for popin cookin fans

I found these at Hmart 2 for $5, clearly made for export from the packaging which explains the great price
