Oh sweet. I'm a super casual gamer at this point, so I'm way behind on my news. Thanks! The Witcher 4 Polaris: Everything we know so far
CDPR's upcoming RPG The Witcher 4 will put a new spin on Geralt's universewww.gamesradar.com
No, GTAV (which includes GTA Online) is their most successful game ever, maybe even the most successful game in gaming history."Rosckstar's most recent big games were RDR2, and GTA online turned into half baked, unpolished GaaS games that were a shadow of their past. If they continue this trend PS-only owners won't miss these games if they go console exclusive or timed console exclusives."
We'll see.
No, GTAV (which includes GTA Online) is their most successful game ever, maybe even the most successful game in gaming history.
When released both RDR2 (which is also selling a shit ton of copies) and GTAV received universal critical acclaim in the gaming media and awards.
Following their trend we should expect GTA6 become a highly acclaimed game with insane sales.
What sales? The game is ON GAMEPASS and not available on Sony consoles. Will it sell? Yes, but don't expect millions of unitssales will most probably be there.
It’s about time The Witcher got a co-op Live Service anyway.

Looks at Bungie’s output after the purchase, looks at Zenimax’s output after the purchase and the promises made… .“This guy had some correct leaks about Destiny, so I fully believe he’d be in the know about acquisition of a publicly traded company”
Can’t believe people fall for this
After the ABK acquisition thread, quite a bit jarring to see some familiar faces suddenly pro consolidation with “it makes sense” takes.
On PC sure. That's weird. CPDR would be much better off with Xbox/Microsoft. Their games fit the Xbox crowd way more.
Sony needs to buy Square or Capcom at this point.
Outside of that dismissive attitude think logically.Lol, everything Sony does is a threat to Xbox... Because Sony knows what works and MS doesn't.
Heck, even MS is a threat to MS when it comes to their gaming business. Xbox management is clueless and has lost the plot.
I am not discussing where it sold more. Everything always sells more on PS regardless because of the mindshare. On PC sure.
However both Witcher 3 and Cyberunk sold significantly more on Playstation than they did on Xbox.
I hope they’ll cancel it like they cancelled the MP part of Cyberpunk but yeah that would suck. Plus I don’t think CDPR can pull it out.Don't worry, CDPR is already on it:
CD Projekt Red says that Codename Sirius will "differ from our past productions'', as it will be "offering multiplayer gameplay on top of a single-player experience, including a campaign with quests and a story". Expect something different then, especially with the studio teasing that this will be "an innovative take on The Witcher universe"
Upcoming CD Projekt Red games: From Cyberpunk Orion to a new Witcher trilogy
With Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty out the door, it's time to start getting excited about a new slate of Witcher gameswww.gamesradar.com
What, you didn't think CDPR also wanted a piece of the pie?
Ideally they need to be in no ones camp, CDPR will gain nothing from Xbox either, other than being forced to lock itself out of its second biggest platform.CPDR needs to be in the Xbox camp. They're perfect for it.
So much for reliable leaker:
CPDR needs to be in the Xbox camp. They're perfect for it.
Of course they could not say anything publicly if talks were ongoing, but still that seems pretty clear
never, they want to believe that Sony is acquiring somethingConsidering that a CEO lying to investors during an official conference call is literally a crime, it's more than pretty clear. This was obviously just another "trust me bro" insider that people should stop making threads about.
Incidentally, the wording of the denial was absolutely clear. Zero room for interpretation.
Again, acquisitions don't leak unless it's just a couple hours top before the announcement. All rumors about acquisitions that did not match that proved to be false. Anyone who would leak ongoing acquisition talks would incur some rather large responsibilities that are much scarier than just leaking a game announcement. When will people learn?
Developping Studios already know, if Microsoft buys them, they are doomed.LaThe bigger question is, why is no one buying larian studios?
The fk is MS and Sony doing?
That is one studios that can fit either platform needs.
I am not discussing where it sold more. Everything always sells more on PS regardless because of the mindshare.
CPDR games is a heavy Western RPG/FPS studio now and Xbox is all about those types of titles.
Obsidian are all Western RPGs with exception of Grounded. 343 and MachineGames are all FPS. InXile is another RPG studio and even Playgrounds making Fable now. Oh and course Bethesda.
Starfield, The Outer Worlds 2, Elder Scrolls 6, Fable etc...
Yeah Witcher 4/Cyberpunk 2 is far more fitting here than
The Last of Us, God of War, Ratchet & Clank, Horizon - doesnt fit the Sony style AT ALL.
CPDR needs to be in the Xbox camp. They're perfect for it.
I am sure every game did, because Playstation has like a 80% marketshare. On PC sure.
However both Witcher 3 and Cyberunk sold significantly more on Playstation than they did on Xbox.
So much for reliable leaker:
I wouldn't take PR Reps word for it (they most likely wouldn't know about this if it was happening, in the first place, at least IME), but the CEO statement that followed was pretty clear-cut.NOW it is debunked
It's called diversification - neither company want's to simply propagate one-note view like that. MS would like to be seen as more diverse with strengths in other areas, but so would Sony. That's weird. CPDR would be much better off with Xbox/Microsoft. Their games fit the Xbox crowd way more.
When i would have bet some money on every "rumor" for the last 10 years that would be wrong and got banned to lalaland i could buy me a house....Reliable leaker when it comes to Destiny information. So what do you guys think?
I wouldn't take PR Reps word for it (they most likely wouldn't know about this if it was happening, in the first place, at least IME), but the CEO statement that followed was pretty clear-cut.
Is it debunked or not?
It's called trolling, and it's working on some of you.So there was this internal rumor a year ago. Perhaps the Days Gone 2 is being greenlit because of this potential CDPR acquisition?
Again, for the record, I don't think this particular rumor is true, but the combo of CDPR x Days Gone 2 is very interesting and too big of a coincidence.
Both arent big. There was one recent case everyone should remember to how two publicly traded companies would react to a potential deal leak. Sega and Rovio, radio silence until the latter confirmed the talks and it was completed very soon afterwards.
The point is that you wouldn't say anything, because if you do say something that turns out to be wrong and then the deal goes ahead then you are open to lawsuits. Both arent big.
This is Sony and CDPR. both are big company.
Then again, both MS and Activision deal come out of nowhere too. What do I know.
The thing is that it was leaked just before the announcement (it was expected to be announced on Monday basically). And it leaked on Friday. There was one recent case everyone should remember to how two publicly traded companies would react to a potential deal leak. Sega and Rovio, radio silence until the latter confirmed the talks and it was completed very soon afterwards.
yea, none of that matters lolBluepoint and Insomniac weren’t public companies.
