Ok…
Thanks for making your intention in this thread clear.
What intention? It's a hard fact Skyrim and FO were sold as a complete package. They were not on a subscription service day one. Are you denying this impacts sales in a huge way?
Big bozo, butt-hurt energy
I don't particularly care about Bethesda RPG's tbh, if that's what you are implying. And if I did and SF convinces me, I just get an Xbox. I don't see why I should be butt hurt? Can you explain? I have played the first hour or so of FO4 and a few hours Skyrim VR on PS4, but that's about it. Apart from that, I also can't be that hyped about a new IP that has no gameplay. Whether it's a PS, Xbox or Nintendo game. For example: I love Insomniac and love the Spider-Man games. Because of that I am pretty hyped about Spidey 2. But I can't be hyped about Wolverine just yet. I love the character and the studio, so my expectations for the final product are high, but I have no idea how it looks and plays. I really need to see more before getting stoked.
I dont really get what you mean, microsoft dont 'need' anything, they seem to be doing fine right now. And Phil has also said numerous times that they will be pretty hands off with Bethesda, and let them run the studio as they want (within reason obviously).
Yes Starfield wont sell as many copies as Skyrim or Fallout 4, but i'll be pretty surprised if a few years from now Starfield hasnt sold 20mil copies, if not more.
I mean that times have changed. Bethesda got purchased by MS. Anything they did in the past, will not automatically be something they will keep doing in the future. Social media is many times bigger nowadays. People have access to the latest information everywhere they go and don't particularly rely on E3 anymore (which is also declining fast).
That is not how sales works. Having your product on the store, sells your console, compared to low stock.
MS cant order todd to change his stance on how to show his games. If you are a bethesda fan, you should know, how they announce their games.
Trailer first, then gameplay on the e3 on the launch window year. That is how todd works.
Spiderman 2 had a new movie launch last year. You can get confusion from there.
You are ignoring on other channels that share the trailer. Bethesda arent the only one showing the trailer.
That has nothing to do with bethesda. Sony is targeting their console holder. And even that, they cant hit 30m for their games. Last Spiderman game, hit 20m. That way smaller than skyrim, considering Spiderman is much bigger force than skyrim.
Bethesda on other hand, has massive follower due to 2 games. Skyrim alone sold more than 30m. So people are familiar with their games.
What do you mean? You said they are selling everything they can produce. Or do you mean sell through? Every Series X gets sold, yes. Series S is just available.
See my comment above about the Todd stance.
I'm not talking about the Spider-Man movie, but the new game they announced.
I'm not ignoring channels, I am using the official Sony and Bethesda channels. Your argument is the same for Spider-Man 2. It would make the views way more.
