Digital Foundry Summary:
- Insomniac upgraded the final version that we saw in previous trailers
- The RT reflection is in now 4K, not in 1080p as was in the June 2020 trailer.
- The main characters have around a quarter-million triangles, without counting the hair/fur
- There is an unprecedented level of detail in everything. Even the non-interactive random critters and bugs on planets and fired shotgun shells on the ground have perfect graphics as well as ray-traced reflections.
- The dimension-hopping is also a part of the gameplay.
- There are no frame drops or stutters when jumping between dimensions.
- Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart looks better than the 2016 Ratchet & Clank movie in most areas.
RT reflections are checkerboarded 4K, but still an upgrade over the previous reflectionsAfter this and Horizon Forbidden West, I don't think anybody should be speculating and spreading FUD that Sony will be downgrading its games, or it is just the photo-mode, or the gameplay will look worse than the in-engine trailer, etc.
PlayStation Studios has proven time and time again that they upgrade games, instead of downgrading them. And speculating on potential downgrades (that never ever comes to fruition in this case) is only a waste of time and forum space.
You should probably have a look at the scores for the platforms that represents +50% of its customer baseNEXT GEN MASTERPIECE.

PC version + free Cyberpunk gaming chairs definitely carried that game kicking and screaming to 85. Check the PS4 meta score.NEXT GEN MASTERPIECE.

This is so weird. If the scores were based on cyberpunk quality this game would be 30/10NEXT GEN MASTERPIECE.

eh I dont know. Sony games get downgraded all the time. TLOU2, Days Gone and Ghost of Tshushima got some lighting downgrades. TLOU2 enemy character faces got a downgrade. Uncharted 4 had that infamous reveal trailer running at 1080p 60 fps. After this and Horizon Forbidden West, I don't think anybody should be speculating and spreading FUD that Sony will be downgrading its games, or it is just the photo-mode, or the gameplay will look worse than the in-engine trailer, etc.

Ohhh Titianfall 2 comparison has me interested, prob pick it up to play with the kids when I get another ps5.
NX GAMER video
1440p for 60 rt mode, niceand now thx to Insomniac skills and potential of ps5 we are now at the point when a Pixar movie is real time game
"Had to."Lol. Cyberpunk had to run on like what 7 platforms? Compared to one with Ratchet.
Again, maybe some ppl will start to believe now.I found DF's comments about the comparisons between the two games interesting. Titanfall's transitions used the same maps, just with superficial alterations, whereas Ratchet completely swaps one entire environment out for another. The only thing left is the character model of Rivet. Impressive stuff.
Not even sure what you're trying to say here....but it isnt helping your point, lol.NEXT GEN MASTERPIECE.

Thank you.Yeh those reviews where they aren't allowed to use their own footage or show the console versions were definitely legit.
Cope.
NEXT GEN MASTERPIECE.
THE BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENT IN GAMING HISTORY
That’s a key differentiator. I’m talking about doing it alone. Of course it’s normal to do it with your kid.If you feel stigma playing Mario then you must be very insecure, play whatever you enjoy. Im 40 and watch pepper pig with my son and enjoy some of the episodes no fucks given. The only people differentiating between kids and adults games are the immature people with deep insecurities.
And?Lol. Cyberpunk had to run on like what 7 platforms? Compared to one with Ratchet.
Big downgrade on reflections and skybox detail though. Definitely wont recommend. The busy skybox is easily the most impressive thing about the game.1440p for 60 rt mode, nice
runs better than rift apart's 0fps
12-15 hours if you just complete the story, 20-25 hours if you collect everything, and that is excluding the Challenge mode. This is what I'm reading around. To me, is pretty, pretty good.
Is the rt still 4K in this mode?1440p for 60 rt mode, nice
It run on two. PC and Stadia. And with tons of bugs. I can't call console versions "running".Lol. Cyberpunk had to run on like what 7 platforms? Compared to one with Ratchet.
That metascore is arbitraty and means shit. Not even sure what you're trying to say here....but it isnt helping your point, lol.
They all gave the console versions a 3s and 4s to save face, but I agree it was too late. They had already sold 14 million copies by then. 6 million of them on consoles.Off topic, but the fucking farce around Cyberpunk's release is going to go down as probably the absolute worst moment for games 'journalism' in history.
...at least I hope it does.
had to? also Run? it was barely walking.. and that has nothing to do with platforms or number, whole game was alpha level at best.Lol. Cyberpunk had to run on like what 7 platforms? Compared to one with Ratchet.
CB 4K is still 4K. Just how DLSS 2.0 4K is 4K. It's just the smart use of resources to achieve pretty much the same result.RT reflections are checkerboarded 4K, but still an upgrade over the previous reflections
First post's like a nail in the coffin.
My fucking god for a second I thought it was vice city...

I would like to see the media get held accountable for it too. I want to hear that they wont review games if all versions arent provided as part of the review copy. Otherwise this will continue to happen next gen especially with Series S now in the picture.
and remember these are just the first games of the generation
And? I didn't bring up cyberpunk. Salty "reviews don't matter" people did. And?
