I'm glad the visual aesthetic that was set in place by Ikumi Nakamura seems to have held true so far.

It's looking pretty interesting that's for sure.

Only watched a few minutes cause I plan on watching with my buddy tonight while chatting over the PS4.

Hot take so far: It looks cool and really polished but I honestly don't think I'd enjoy playing it, doesn't really look like something for me. I'll definitely watch some Let's Plays though and will probably still buy it when I get a PS5. One of those games where I can appreciate it but not really care to actually play it to completion.

Not really feeling this.

Was hoping for something more along the lines of Prey where the environment is more reactive and more creativity/freedom with the abilities.

I’m… not convinced.

It looks slow yet hectic in a way that doesn’t appeal to me.

Overall it seems to be one of those games that doesn’t translate too well when viewing it rather than playing it.

Edit: By ”slow yet hectic” I mean that it doesn’t give the impression of momentum. Games like Returnal and Doom have momentum and a constant state of flow. Combat in this seems to be fast and hectic but movement feels slow and as far as we’ve seen you’re pretty much walking at a snails pace inbetween combat.

Holyshit I wasn't expecting to be overly hyped by this but that looked amazing. The art style and hand\magic animations are perfect. Loved the whole techno vibe to the music as well. Looked super fresh and intersting.

Who else got these Fallout/Elder Scroll vibes?

Jokes aside, I have to admit it looks a lot more interesting than what they showed previously. Maybe a "get it cheap/used" later on.

Live from NeoGAF, it's Friday Night!
Artstyle looks awesome but i'm a bit unsure about the use of the "powers". Is it just a button press or a combo?

Damn. It's a "Non-Linear" game. And it's the team's admitted most difficult thing to have developed that they've not done before.

I'm not a fan of non-linear games in general because they lack focus and just become Ubisoft gameplay monotony.

This + the combat looking a bit monotonous are some of my gripes.

This looks really cool. I like the setting and premise.
The first person design is something you'd typically expect from western developers, but it's nice to see more Japanese developers give it a shot.

I dislike first person but it’s art direction and monk powers looks amazing, definitely sold on this game.

GAME LOOKS SO FUCKING BADASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wire effects, the fighting, combat, the exploration, the mood, the characters seem interesting already. The effects are fantastic. This game looks so great.

And it's non-linear to someone who thought it might be linear!!

I'm not sold on this hand jive gameplay with dumbed down enemy AI. I think I'll grab this when it's $20-25 just like I did with Deathloop. Same reason too. Dumb AI.

Looks absolutely fantastic. It's clear the gameplay is going to be a real highlight for this with the mixing of Onmyou casting and not once did any encounter look boring. I'm so glad it's non-linear because it would be a complete waste of how they created Tokyo Metropolis to look so accurate. The art direction and Youkai designs are glorious.

Mikami having some fun interviewing was nice, lol.

I definitely want to give this a try, but I'll be covered for the next few months with games.

I like the style and design of the city.
